I had control,
From the cold tips of my fingers
To my helplessly impulsive tongueI had control,
Over the constant teetering
Of positive thoughts
And the subdued chattering
Of the harsh voicesI had control,
Over that inexplicable feeling
That something was bound to go Epically wrongI had control,
Over the maze of my mind
Who I chose to let in
And who I didn'tI had control,
Over the ghastly gaps
Between me and
The rest of the worldI had control,
Over the blank stares
That my eyes gave
And the tears they shedI had control,
And just like that
I didn't
Anymore.
