Just like that

45 6 1

I had control,
From the cold tips of my fingers
To my helplessly impulsive tongue

I had control,
Over the constant teetering
Of positive thoughts
And the subdued chattering
Of the harsh voices

I had control,
Over that inexplicable feeling
That something was bound to go  Epically wrong

I had control,
Over the maze of my mind
Who I chose to let in
And who I didn't

I had control,
Over the ghastly gaps
Between me and
The rest of the world

I had control,
Over the blank stares
That my eyes gave
And the tears they shed

I had control,
And just like that
I didn't
Anymore.
