Peter's POV
Peter felt...numb. His last living family member was in prison for abusing him. Like he wasn't mad enough at himself for letting Ben die.
And on top of that, the Avengers had seen him at his lowest point in life. The Avengers. His idols, the men and women he looked up to more than anything.
They were probably making fun of him. Downstairs making jokes about how he deserved what happened to him. It's not like they were wrong.
His parents had left him. He had let Ben die. May hated him, and rightfully so. And now she was in prison because of him.
Peter would always love May. Love the aunt he has before the accident, the one that would kiss his boo-boos and tell him bedtime stories. The May who would calm him after nightmares and tell him he could be anything in the whole wide world.
Apparently he had become a mistake.
And now the Avengers were stuck with him as a burden.
(Downstairs)
Tony slammed a stack of papers down on the kitchen table.
"Sign 'em, motherfuckers."
