Can't Live Without You

CH. 33

Izuku and his family walked throughout the lobby of the stadium, buying some refreshments, snacks, and fan gear.

Izuku thought that they would barely make it on time for the game since they left around 2, but instead of taking a car, the Bakugo's took their private jet, trimming down travel time to about two hours; they even invited Izuku's mother and Toshinori! Once arriving to their destination, they ordered an ober. When Izuku and his family inquired where they were going to be sleeping for the night, Mitsuki replied that they found out what hotel Katsuki and the team were staying at so they booked the same hotel. When checking in at the hotel, Mitsuki booked one room for her and her husband, one for Inko and Toshinori, and one for Izuku. Though Izuku and his parents protested and were more than willing to pay for their rooms, Mitsuki saw this as "the parents of the husband-to-be must pay for the ..." type of situation. When Izuku, entered his single bed hotel room, he unpacked what little luggage he had and set up his room, in hopes that Katsuki will stop by when he asked. He hadn't told him he came to watch his game yet, he wanted to keep it a surprise till they got to the stadium.

As they walked towards their seats, the families were constantly stopping, attendes and fans constantly asking to take a picture with the infamous "All Might"; it got to a point that he had to tell them to go on while he handled the crowd. Masaru was able to secure courtside seats in front of the UA team bench across the court. The court was empty: people were filling the stadium, music was playing over the speakers, and the court crew was running about, making sure everyone was in place upon game time.

"This is quite a big stadium", Masaru stated as he looked around the vicinity as they took their seats.

"It sure is quite the upgrade from those elementary gymnasiums, isn't Izuku?", Mitsuki inquired with a smile.

"Yeah!", Izuku said in awe as he observed the area.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the season opener of the JCAA men's basketball season!", the announcer energetically proclaimed over the speaker; the crowd roared in anticipation.

"We have a great game for you tonight folks! The biggest rivalry game in all of Japan! We have the cunning, mischievous, malicious, LOV panthers~!"

As the announcer prolonged the word "panthers", the team ran out from one of the tunnels out onto the court; the team wore black and purple warm-ups, the colors most likely mimicking the players uniforms. As some cheered for the opposing team and some clapped, Izuku watched the players as they circled the court once before they stood in a straight line. He could've sworn that some of the players looked familiar...

"And their long-time rival, the 20xx JCAA men's basketball reigning champions, the strong, powerful, clever, UA eagles~!"

Mirio lead the team as they ran one lap around the court just like their opponent. Izuku and his family stood up and cheered once the team made their entrance. Izuku's focus stayed on Katsuki once he entered the court. Katsuki must have been incredibly focused as he didn't even notice his family nor Izuku as they cheered right by the court, the alpha running right past them. Izuku was amazed out how focused Katsuki looked, sure he'd seen him focus on homework and cooking, but this was a whole different level of focus, a focus Izuku couldn't help being aroused by.

The team lined up on their half of the court facing their opponent, Mirio and two other players walked towards the middle of the court; some players from LOV doing the same. The referee's conducted the captain's meeting and the players shook hands and begun their warm-up.

The volume of the music rose, people singing and chanting along with the music as everyone was getting restless for the game to begin. Izuku watched tentatively as Katsuki ran through the warm-up drills, dreading how time went slow as he couldn't wait to see what Katsuki looked like in his official game uniform.
