Izuku was walking back home from the convenience store that is only a mile away from his house.

He bought himself some ramen noodles and ate them at the store since they had dinning tables. Before leaving the store he bought himself a pint of mint chocolate ice cream with a spoon to eat as he walked back home.

The neighborhood was surprisingly quite; no one was driving or walking around. Streetlights and lights from within the homes lit up the pathway with the help of the moonlight. Halfway home, he stopped when he saw the neighborhood park. There were no kids in the park so he decided to walk up to the swing set and swing for a while ... well more like sit.

"This sure does bring back memories...", Izuku said to himself as he took a bite of his ice cream. He could visually play out the memories in the park: from the times he and Katsuki would play in the sandbox, the slides, the tunnels, as well as the memory of the abduction.

Maybe because of the head trauma he experienced, his memories about that time were a bit hazy to the point where he doesn't remember the days when he was held captive. He just remembers the time before he was taken and after he was rescued; when Katsuki started pushing him away by saying things like "get away from me" or "I'm not your friend anymore". If Izuku hadn't been crying all day, he would probably be crying at the remembrance of the memories of Katsuki pushing him away.

After conversing with his mom he tried to see things from Katsuki's point of view, tried to understand the alpha's pain and trauma. Though he could understand the alpha's point, he still couldn't understand why he gave up so easily, why he couldn't see all the redeming qualities he has. He wanted to try and remedy what they had but if Katsuki couldn't get past that trauma and if they were to unfortunately experience a similar event, then what's the point?

"Always so difficult ... he really hasn't changed", Izuku slightly chuckled to himself.

Lost in thought he didn't hear the approaching footsteps on the gravel.

"Midoriya?"

"Hmm, Todoroki-kun?", Izuku said looking up from his ice cream.

"W-what are you doing here?", Izuku asked sadly, looking back down at his melting ice cream.

"My sister wanted me to take back some stuff to the dorm. As I was on my way back to the dormitory I saw you here and you looked like you needed a friend.", Todoroki said taking the adjacent swing.

"Oh", Izuku simply replied. The two swang in silence for a couple of minutes.

"So ... what did Bakugo do?", Todoroki asked looking up to the night sky.

"W-what? What makes you think he did something?", Izuku nervously said.

"Midoriya, your eyes are red and puffy, your eating a pint of ice cream in a park, and Bakugo isn't here. Or are you here simply because you want to eat ice cream after watching a sad movie?", Todoroki said.

Izuku put down his spoon and slumped into his swing. Although the two haven't spoken much since he dated Bakugo, the alpha was still good at reading through his expressions.

"We ... kind of ... got into a fight...", Izuku said, eyes still to dry to produce tears.

"Must've been a pretty bad one if you're here crying and eating ice cream at a child's park at night", Todoroki said.

"We both said some pretty hurtful things to each other. I don't know if we can ... if we can fix it", Izuku said, hoping his friend can offer him some helpful advice.

"Then don't fix it.", Todoroki said.

"Huh? W-what do you mean?", Izuku nervously asked.

"I'm saying that if you had such a big fight to end up in this state after such a short period of time dating, maybe it's not worth saving", Todoroki said looking into the omega's eyes.
