We finally had the complete amount of money to buy whatever we need for the project. The money was safely tucked underneath my bag and all my books placed on top. Mr Osai wasn't in school yet so I'll have to be careful with the money so it doesn't get missing or anything.

Stepping into the class, Matthew was seated with his phone in his hands. Even In an ordinary school uniform, he still managed to render me breathless. I tore my gaze away from him as he looked up from his phone.

"Good morning." He greeted.

"Oh. He's in a good mood today."

"About that. I'm sorry for the way I acted towards you yesterday wasn't nice. And I'm sorry. Someone annoyed me really bad yesterday."

And can I still be offended after that heartfelt apology? No.

"It's fine."

He nodded. "So we're cool?"

"Yeah, absolutely."

"And before I forget, we're partners for the chemistry project. Partners and leaders."

For real?!

Despite how calm and composed I seemed, I was really going insane with excitement on the inside. But I could only smile.

"That's sounds good. Partner." I held out my hand to him for a handshake, and he took it.

My day just started off in a fantastic way.

"So class," Mr Osai began. "We have a new student joining us today."

New Student?

Murmurs filled the air.

"Who enrols in a school in ss3 for God's Sake?" Silas groaned from the back of the class.

"This one better not be any childhood friend again oh." Zino whispered in my ear and I rolled my eyes.

"He would be here any time soon."

"He?" Kiki exclaimed. A smile was already creeping up her face.

Typical.

I noticed all the girls in the class weren't as excited as I expected them to be, or they were all just trying not to seem excited. I'm sure it's the latter. Only Kiki seemed to show her excitement.

And then a tall, light skinned boy stepped into the class, hands in his pocket with that....stoic look on his face. It was definitely hard to decipher how he felt to be here. His face gave absolutely no emotions away.  That mysterious aura was oozing out of him.

Without taking my eyes off him, I leaned towards Zino. "I think I might be switching crushes." But I can't give Matthew up that easily.  "Or is it bad if I have two?"

"It is not Kes, and oh my God." She gasped and gripped my thigh roughly. "That jawline."

"I know right?" I winced as I replied her.
