Soon, it was time for the game.

To be honest, I was so nervous even though I've been on the team for 3 years and gone for numerous competitions. I still felt as nervous as the first time.

We had all taken off our tracksuits and we had our Jerseys and shorts on.

A feminine voice came from the speakers and echoed throughout the entire court.  "Will both teams come out now. The game is about to begin."

Sir TJ had just finished his pep talk, and after a few prayers, hypes and cheers, we moved out of the locker room provided for us and lined up at the players entrance of the basketball court.

"We welcome you all to the annual mixed basketball competition." The commentator announced and everyone applauded with cheers.

"And this year, CIGs will be battling it out with Forrester Academy."

Another round of applause and cheers echoed throughout the court.

"So without further ado, let's welcome CIGs Tigers!"

The players for CIGs all jogged into the court along with their team's mascot as everyone cheered and then their school anthem was sung.

"Don't stop cheering as we also welcome Forrester Griffins!"

Here goes nothing.

That was our cue to jog out to the court with our team's mascot leading the way as everyone cheered. I could see Idera and the girl who must be Dami, cheering us and screaming their heads off.
