First of all, THANK YOU to every single one of you who has given this story a chance. This is the second draft in which I more or less doubled the size, added Felix's POV, and tried to build up more about the world around them. I think it still needs work as I'm not entirely happy about certain aspects. (I think Felix and Shae's dynamic needs a bit of tweaking since adding his POV changed a lot.)
Shae and Felix may have found their happily ever after, but the main story of the threat of Son of Deva will continue throughout the series.
Any feedback/critique, positive or negative, is welcome!
Was there anything you liked/didn't like? Felt didn't work at all or could be improved upon?
Did you have a favourite character? Any side characters you'd love to see in their own story?
Again, thank you, to everyone, whether you're an active reader who comments and/or votes or just enjoys reading. I've loved interacting with those of you who do comment, and your lovely and funny comments often make my day! ♥
If you've enjoyed my stories and would like to ply this sleep-deprived author with a cup of tea, you can do so on my ko-fi page (link in bio).

Shadows & Lace (Prequel)
Braithe is leading a double life. The dutiful princess during the day, at night the masked vigilante fighting back against her parents' abuse of the kingdom's citizens. Disguised as a man to protect her identity, things get even more complicated when a handsome outsider catches her attention.
Aurelian is not your typical damsel in distress. First of all, he's a man. Secondly, he's... actually exceedingly good at getting himself into sticky situations. A visitor in the kingdom, he finds himself embroiled in the ongoing struggles, though perhaps not in the sense he would have liked, getting kidnapped and all.
Now Braithe may need to save him from the very people she's been trying to help
(Takes place before Bowstrings & Velvet, but can easily be read as a stand-alone.)
Damask & Deception (Book 2)
King Baudwin of Breoch is a broken man. Crushed in the height of war, crowned in the face of treason and turmoil, he fights to save his kingdom. Hoping to stave off rebellion, he reluctantly agrees to marry the daughter of his main opposition. But travelling in disguise, he comes to realise his future bride may be even less inclined to marry than he is.
Rhiannon is hiding from the world. Haunted by the demons of her past, the last thing she needs is to be dragged from the shadows to marry a stranger. Refusing to play as a political pawn, she grudgingly agrees to leave the safety she's found in the Swamps of Lyndor to confront her parents. Against her better judgement, Rhiannon finds herself warming to the company of the knight escorting her.
Together, they must face their past. To survive the misery and destruction that have pervaded their worlds, they must learn to trust again. Not a simple task when their relationship is filled with lies and deception from the very start.
(Takes place after Bowstrings & Velvet. The male main character is a side character in Shadows & Lace, but you should be able to read this story without having read it. Though I'd probably recommend trying Shadows & Lace before to see his growth.)
A White Rose
A short story set before any of the others, where thief Ereptus finds himself straddled with a fiery half-elf that needs to be escorted to the City of Messina. Their mutual dislike is pushed as they come to realise that everything is not as it seems.
