It wasn't too long after our first meeting outside of the abandoned factory did we meet for a second time. This time, it was for my birthday, which Tristan had somehow found out about.Knowing him, he had probably pooled his resources together to find out when my birthday was.

“What do you want to do for your birthday?” Tristan asked me a quiet, autumn afternoon as we both lazed around in the abandoned factory, talking about the random things that came into mind.

“I don't know,” I admitted, “Anything would be fine. I usually don't make a big deal about my birthdays.”

“Why?” Tristan  asked, the subject piquing his interest, and I ignored it, pretending that I didn't hear it. I think Gong Chan realized it, but he didn't press on.

It was silent for a long moment.

“You know what I realized april?” Tristan questioned me as we sat on the cold floor, leaning against the grey walls, staring into space.

“What?” I asked.

“I barely know anything about you, but you know everything about me,” Tristan said, and I laughed, “You wouldn't want to know anything about me.It'll probably make you run away in fright.”

“No it won't,” Tristan said, and I just chuckled darkly, not wanting to talk about it any further.

He wouldn't find out about my family life until much later.

Much, much later when it was going to be too late to turn back and stay friends only.
