I did everything that I could do get the picture of that woman and the little girl out of my mind for the next few months as I buried myself into my work.

I returned home late at nights, drinking my life out at a bar to relieve my stress.

It didn't help that when I returned home, Karen will always be complaining and whining about how little attention I shower on her.

I can only bitterly smile at her, and say sorry.

“Why aren't you at home anymore oppa?” She whined, tugging onto my arms and stomping her feet like a spoiled little child, “Don't you love me?”

I never did love you.

“Sorry Karen, but I'm really busy,” I tiredly said.

“But aren't you tired? You've been leaving early in the mornings and returning late at nights,” she continued to say in her squeaky, annoying voice, “You should take a break. We should have some quality time together.”

“Min Hee, look, I told you right? When my parents and your parents arranged this marriage for us, I warned you that I would be really busy with the company all of the time.”

“But oppa-”

I cut her off, “I'm really tired.”

“Oppa!” She shrieked, angry at me from the bottom of the staircase as I clamoured up the stairs, “OPPA!”

I ignored her and I headed into my bedroom.

Even after a year after our marriage, I couldn't bear to even sleep on the same bed as Karen.

Oh April… The things you make me do without ever knowing…
