❛ WILLIAM VANGEANCE
Your arms are my castle, your heart is my sky.

[ This is the beforemath of the "Lover" one-shot. ]

"I'm home!"

"Mommy!"

Opening the main door of your house, your small daughter, Amy, came dashing from the living room towards your opened embrace waiting for her. For a three-year-old to be playing from morning to night, she's quite a cheerful one. You dropped the paper bags you were carrying beside you as you welcomed your daughter, squishing her on the hug. Oh my, she's so soft!

"Welcome back, love."

Coming out from the kitchen is none other than your husband, William, wiping his hands with a kitchen towel. Probably, he just finished cooking dinner.

Smiling, you picked up your daughter before walking in your husband's direction, rewarding him a kiss. Your day was awfully tiring. After cleaning the house, you washed your clothes before eating your lunch with your family. Afterward, you just took a one-hour nap with your daughter before deciding to go to the capital to shop for some supplies. Good thing that William took a one-week day off so he can help you with your daily chores.

As Amy squirmed from your grip, you decided to let go and let her go back at playing.

"How's shopping?"

You shook your head, picking up the supplies before putting them in their respective places. "A long line awaited me, it's so stressful."

"My poor wife."

"But don't worry," I cheered. "There'll be a sale this coming week. I'll buy new kitchen wares!"

William looked at you with confusion. "You just bought one frying pan yesterday and two new potholders last week, right?"

"I'm upgrading our kitchen, okay? And, it's sale time! I shouldn't waste this opportunity."

Your husband laughed at your reaction before wrapping his hands around your waist, softly whispering in your ear.

"You're so adorable."

"Of course, I am." You winked at him before grabbing three plates. "Dinner time!"

"Mommy," your tired daughter came walking slowly in your direction before hugging your legs as you wiped your hands using the kitchen towel since you just finished washing the dishes. Your husband, on the other hand, is still cleaning the table.

"Yes, sweetie?"

You kneeled in front of her as she hugged you, hands scratching her eyes.

"I'm tired," She told you as she yawned. Smiling, you picked her up before William called you by your name, making you stop in your tracks upstairs.

"Going to sleep?"

You nodded before walking towards his position. Amy kissed him goodnight as your husband whispered soft words at your daughter's ear, leaving you in total awe by just how pure this scene is. How lucky to be you being in this state, a mother of a really cute child and a wife of such a mature and loving husband.

Climbing the stairs, you opened up the door leading to Amy's room as you put her to bed. Caressing her hair while singing a lullaby, her eyes slowly started to close. Before leaving the room, you made sure to whisper goodnight words too, leaving the lamp beside her open so she won't be scared in the dark. Closing the door behind you, that's when you finally stretched your arms, taking a sigh of relief. You're very tired at the same time, badly wanting to hit the bed. That's when you saw William leaning on the wall, watching you.

"Should I tuck you to bed too, love?"

Chuckling while rolling your eyes, you softly punched his shoulder. "Silly."

"Why?" He laughed. "I was really going to do it."

"I'm not a baby, you know?" You scoffed before heading to the room you're both sharing as William followed you behind.

"But you are my baby."

"Oh, William. You can't buy me," you stated, jumping on the bed. "I'm so tired."

"Aw, too bad."

Sitting beside you, he wrapped his strong pair of arms around you before caressing your hair, softly singing a song. Your favorite one. His voice is very soothing, very calming. You hugged him back, burying your sleeping face on his neck as he held you like a very fragile glass, protectively. His touch is very warm, very tight like he doesn't want to let you go anymore. He was doing his magic (not the tree one, of course) on you, slowly putting you to sleep considering how much you've been through today.

"Your arms are my castle. Your heart is my sky," He sang.

"They wipe away tears that I cry. The good and the bad times we've been through them all. You make me rise when I fall..."

"Love," you whispered making him stop.

"Yes?"

"I'll make it up to you tomorrow, I promise."

Even though you can't see him since your eyes were closed, you knew he was smirking. Kissing you softly on top of your head, he laid beside you.

"You better keep that."
