Your sweet, soothing voice boomed all throughout the Black Bulls' Headquarters. Helping Charmy with preparing the delicious meals for today, you set everything on the table, clapping your hands. You sighed deeply before you heard your teammates' voices coming out from their respective rooms.
"What's for today?"
"Your favorite pancakes, Luck." Wait, Luck?!
You almost loosen your grip on the glass of water you're holding when you see the blonde, cheerful boy beside you. Coughing, you immediately blushed before drinking your water within a blink of an eye. Luck cheered happily, sitting beside you as he grabbed his own plate of pancakes.
Luck Voltia, the most energetic member of the squad you're in, well, aside from Asta, is your crush and senpai at the same time. When you joined the Magic Knights, the Black Bulls squad, he was your very first friend. You enjoyed your free time fighting each other but then you unconsciously found yourself falling for him.
Fidgeting in your seat, you don't know what to do. Should you exchange seats with Magna or just start eating? You're very nervous every time he's around that's why eventually, you started turning down Luck's requests for sparring.
"Y/N, are you okay? Is there a problem with the food, la?"
You shook your head, smiling slyly at Charmy.
"No, the food's good."
You can feel Luck's left arm brushing against your skin and that simple action electrifies your heart. Fine, that's cheesy. But that's what you really feel! Sighing deeply, you can't focus on your meal, much more, it feels like you lost your appetite already. You excused yourself before dragging your plate with you towards the terrace.
A cold breeze and a peaceful place will help you.
"When I'm thinking about something, I usually punch trees."
"Oh my God, you scared me!"
Looking up to Luck, he sat quietly beside you. You can feel that he's uneasy but at the same time, he still chooses to comfort you.
"Y/N-chan, why are you avoiding me?"
"A-Avoiding?! Y-You?" You're a blushing mess.
He nodded before the wind blew hard, messing both of your hair. As if on cue, you looked at Luck and it feels like the time has slowed down. He was chuckling while fixing his hair, such a mesmerizing view. Why are you avoiding him in the first place though? Because you feel uneasy? Because you might blush around him?
Ah, because you thought that he'll start avoiding you when he learned about your feelings. Right. That's the worst-case scenario.
"I am n-not..." Not avoiding you. Or maybe yes, but, it's just that I-
"I know you like me."
You choked on your own saliva. Are your ears deceiving you? No. No! Looking at Luck with such a confused face, you almost forgot to take another bite of your food.
"You know what?"
Even your voice is cracking. Your heart is beating so fast. You can't breathe properly. You might pass out any moment right now. Voltia looked at you, without any remorse on his face or any sign that he's going to avoid you, but with just pure sincerity. And happiness?
"I figured it out. When you started turning down my requests for sparring and when you became a blushing mess every time I'm around."
How?! "Come again?"
"And after all, everybody noticed it already. I'm just oblivious at first, I'm sorry."
Looking away, you don't know how to react. His powers were lightning but how can he electrify your heart like this? That's unbelievable. Laughing, you caught tears falling from your eyes. You guessed that maybe, this is the end of your friendship.
"You can turn down my feelings anyway. I'm not expecting for you to reciprocate it."
You chuckled, but deep down, you're hurting. This is becoming cheesy.
"Why would I turn you down?" His voice is like coming from a child.
"After all, I like you too, Y/N-chan!"
Jumping in the air, he suddenly hugged you. You were frozen, of course. Did he just confess his feelings to you? Aren't you just hearing things? Well, this isn't a dream. He likes you, Luck likes you too. Smiling, you can't believe what just happened.
"Now, will you spar with me again?"
You messed his hair. "Bring it!"
