Staring at the ceiling I let myself process last night. I really did not see that coming. I thought Max and Dilara were happy in their relationship... But then again.. People can fall out of love, even if things seem to be perfect. At the moment I just want to hug Max and assure him that everything is going to be okay. That he'll find a girl who will stay with him for the rest of their lives. But Max also needs his time to process it all and I need to give him that space. I'm glad that I'm seeing him tomorrow and to know that he won't be alone tonight, because the nights are the worst.

Finally dragging myself out of my bed I got to the bathroom. After grabbing everything I need I turned the shower on. Today will be a calm day, as I only need to edit a few videos and then check my bags for a final time. After that I can relax until Samantha comes over to catch up before I'll be on the road again. I really missed her and even though we called a few times, it's different than seeing her.

"Yes! Finally done!" I said to myself once I finished editing the last video and scheduling it on my channel. While turning my computer off I did some stretching so I didn't hurt myself after sitting in the same position for a longer period of time. Let's go check my bags for the last time! I spread everything out in my living room and out it all back, checking off my list. Clothes, toiletries, laptop, Nintendo Switch, chargers, the gift for Max that I was supposed to give him in Belgium but forgot it.. I think I have everything.

"RELAX TIME!" I shouted when I jumped on the couch and let myself sink in the pile of pillows and blankets. I grabbed the remote of my TV and started Netflix. I've been looking forward to this moment so badly! Oh boy... Who's ruined it now by ringing the doorbell? I don't want to open the door.. Should I just pretend I'm not home? Yeah, I'm not in the mood for visitors. Most people text or call me when they come over and I've not had any texts in that context. The doorbell rang for the second time.. This person is not going to give up, are they? Reluctantly, I got off the couch and made my way to the front door.

Huh... It's Joe and Grace.. What are they doing here? I opened the door and they smiled at me. "Hey [Y/N], can we come in? We need to talk to you about something.." Grace said and I nodded, opening the door a little more for them.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" I asked once everyone was settled on the couch with a drink. "Well, we got a call last week from our doctor. With the results of the test." Joe said. Wait, the DNA-test? Are they my parents? "And?" I asked, not really processing what was happening. "It's a match. You're our kid." Grace said with tears in her eyes. For real? She grabbed something from her purse and handed it to me. The papers with the test results. It's for real.. They're my parents. I've found them! Pressure started to set behind my eyes and Grace got up to hug me. The tears started to fall now. "Oh dear.." Joe said and sat down on my other side. "I'm so happy we found you." Grace said while pulling away from the hug. Tears were running over her cheeks as well.

Grace ran her hand through my hair and then pressed a kiss to my forehead. Joe then wrapped me in a hug and I smiled at them. "So.. What's next?" I asked after we've been silent for a bit. "Just spend more time together and get to know each other, I think." Grace said and I nodded. "Sorry to disappoint, but I'm going to Max' tomorrow and then I'm traveling to Singapore." I said with a bit of sarcasm in my voice. They both laughed and shook their heads. "We're going too, for Daniel." Joe said and I nodded. "You guys seem to get along quite well!" Grace said and smiled at me.

"Yeah, we do actually! Have you told him about it already?" I asked and Joe shook his head. "We haven't told him and Michelle. We wanted to tell you first. We knew that if Daniel knew, news would get out and we wanted you to hear it from us." He answered and I smiled at them. "I appreciate that."

"A friend will be coming over after dinner, but you can stay and meet her? She has kept me on the road when everything was falling apart and she's one of my best friends." I told Grace and Joe after we had chatted for a bit. "I would love too!" Grace said with excitement and sat up a bit. Joe laughed at his wife and looked at me again. "I'd love to meet her!" I smiled and grabbed my phone. "I'll text her about it, so she won't be completely taken by surprise." I laughed and texted Samantha.

---

"GIRL, WHERE ARE YOUR PARENTS?!" Samantha yelled the moment I opened the door. I laughed and pulled her into a hug. "They're in the living room!" She instantly ran to the living room and I walked in behind her. "Hi, I'm Samantha, most people call me Sam, and I'm [Y/N]'s guardian angel." I laughed at how she introduced herself. "It's very nice to meet you." Grace said after she hugged Sammy.

"How long have you known each other?" Joe asked. "About 8 years, I think." Sammy answered and I nodded. "We lived together for a few years until she moved out." I added and then pretend to be hurt. "She left me.." I said with agony in my voice and we all laughed. "Ohhhh, since you missed out on all the embarrassing stuff she did as a teen I can tell you about it all!" Sammy said with excitement. "NOOOO, Sammy please don't!" I grabbed a pillow and hit her with it. "You actually made me curious now." Joe said and I rolled my eyes. "One embarrassing story.. Please?" Sammy kept on asking. "Okay, okay.. One.." I gave in and Sammy shrieked with excitement. "I got to chose wisely.." She hummed while thinking. This is going to be sooo embarrassing!

"Oohh, this is a fun one and not too bad!" Here it comes.. "It was her 18th birthday and we threw her a party. After like two or three hours she was absolutely hammered and we lost her out of sight. When we went to look for her she was out on the street, busy with a road sign. At first she was dancing around it and then she tried to get the thing out of the ground, we being the good friends we are started to help. She got all mad a at us, telling us to not touch her lover. After a bit we got it out and [Y/N] started to twirl around with the sign. It was fun at first, but then she got near the side of the road which was right beside a small drop to a lake." Sammy paused and I had completely buried myself into a pillow to hide the redness on my cheeks.

"I know what you're thinking and yes, she fell into the water." Grace and Joe laughed really hard and the heat krept upon my forehead. "After we got her out, which was an adventure itself, she kept on screaming that we needed to get her lover out too, but that sign was already lost to the depths of the lake." She said while laughing and I nudged her side. "I was drunk okay?! We all do dumb shit when we're drunk!" I said and tried to tickle Sammy. "Yeah, but most of us call our partner to tell them dumb stuff or they call their ex, not confess their love to a road sign!" Sammy said and I let out a sigh while rolling my eyes.

"Now it's my turn to tell them something embarrassing you did!" I said and sat up straight, ready to embarrass her. We spent the rest of the night sharing funny and embarrassing stories about each other until it was time for Sammy to leave and for me to get some sleep.. Once I got into my bed I was out like a light. It was a pretty hectic, but a fun day.
