Chapter 15

The rain was pouring down from the clouds today. Wind made the trees move violently, some branches breaking and being taken by the wind. It won't be long before lightning will strike, as the clouds rumble from time to time. The motivation to do any work is very low today. I decided to take a hot shower and got into some comfy clothes. Of course, my fluffy socks can't be missing from that outfit. When I got to the kitchen thunder struck somewhere close to my apartment. Damn, that was really loud... I poured milk in a pan and put choco powder in a mug with some cinnamon. While waiting for the milk to be hot I checked my phone, not much news from most of my socials. Oh, Max texted! I'll check that in a minute, but first the milk.. I poured it into the mug and stirred with a spoon. I let it rest while I put everything away and then headed back to my living room with my hot choco. I wrapped my fluffy blanket around me before curling up in the corner of my couch. I turned my TV on before going to the chat with Max.

Not much tbh, not feeling motivated at all so I think I'm just going to take the day off.

Letting my phone fall onto the couch beside me I looked at the TV, the weather report was on and it looks like it's going to storm all day. I sighed and took a sip from my hot choco. These kind of moments make me realize how fun it was to live with someone. Even the days that we had to stay in because of the weather were okay because we could just be dumb together and play loads of boardgames. I switched to YouTube and watched some videos until my phone started to ring. I sighed, picked it up and saw that it was Daniel calling me.

"Hey Dan! What's up?"

"Hey [Y/N], uhm, I wanted to talk to you about Lando.." Daniel sighed and I rolled myself deeper into the corner of my couch. This sounds pretty serious..

"Yeah, of course.. What about him?" I asked and pulled my blanket higher up my shoulders, as it was getting really cold. I should turn the heater on...

"Well, I'm getting worried about him.. Several drivers are getting worried about him.."

"What's going on?" I asked and sat up in the couch more. You know what? I'm just going to turn the heater on now, because the cold is getting really bad.

"His girlfriend is at every race weekend and when we got off-time he just spents it with her. He doesn't even reply when we text him if he wants to hang out during sessions or anything."

"Hmm, that's nothing like him.. Does he respond to Carlos?"

"Not even." Daniel said and this got me worried as well. Carlos and Lando are like brothers.. Why doesn't he even reply back to him? "Carlos also contacted Lando's family to try and reach out, but they get ignored too."

What the actual is going on? What happened to him that made him ignore people like that? "His girlfriend.."

"I think she has something to do with it too.. Remember there first stream together when she got him to let the phone ringing when his mom was calling?" Daniel asked and I laughed softly.
