Chapter 14- She's Not Afraid

POV Auden

I straighten my messy bun in the mirror and admire my outfit. For my full first day on the road I have on a faded pink oversized hoodie, black jean shorts, and black doc martens. I add some cute bracelets and rings and walked out of the bathroom.

Apparently I missed a lot. Cameras and lighting fixtures are being set up around the couch and the boys are sitting patiently on the couch with microphones in their laps.

I take a seat on the opposite couch and sit on the far end to stay out of the way. Paul offers me a mug of hot coffee which I gladly take. I sit silently sipping my creamy coffee scrolling through my notifications.

Emerson texted me a screenshot of Harry's post and said

FAV COUPLE OMG

My only response to her was

Ur up early lol

A pretty lady wearing a sharp blazer and pencil skirt takes a seat down next to me.

"Hi! I'm Lilah, I'll be interviewing the boys this morning." she says sweetly.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Auden." I smile shaking her hand politely.

We chat for a few minutes about the celebrities she's talked to this month. Her job sounds totally cool, I feel like Emerson would be super good at it.

"You must model! You're absolutely gorgeous. Which of the boys is your boyfriend?" she asks.

I glance at my new friends and catch Harry's eyes laser beamed towards me. We make eye contact and he shakes his head slowly.

"Thank you but I'm just a close friend. They were in my area and stopped by and now I'm just tagging along for a little while." I answer.

She smiles and nods and then excuses herself. She takes her place on the couch with the boys holding a stack of cue cards. My phone beeps and I look down.

I'll fill u in later. She's considered a pap- don't let her charm fool you. Never tell the press anything, I promise u they will twist everything for the worse. Hopefully this won't take long. Xx

I glance at Harry and I give him a subtle thumbs up. He nods and flashes me an award winning smile.

"Hello this is Lilah Raymond reporting from Pop Daily News and I'm here with Niall Horan and Harry Styles from One Direction!" she begins.

The boys smile and wave at the camera. The interview goes on for about twenty minutes.

"Last thing, fans are dying to know if the rumors between Harry and Auden are true. Harry, what's your comment?"

"Umm... Auden is lovely girl and all of us are great friends." he says calmly.

"You heard it here! Harry Styles is still single ladies! Tune in next week when we will be talking to Sia about her upcoming album."

They call cut and Harry and Niall thank the interviewer and shuffle off the sofa. Liam, Louis, Zayn slide onto the couch for their turn. Harry takes a water bottle off the counter and sits down next to me.

"Auden, we know what's going on between us, but the paps will blow us up and construct the most far fetched stories giving us absolutely no privacy. It's not worth saying anything."

"Yeah, I get it." I smile.

I nod and he kisses my forehead. I know our relationship will become public when we're ready. But for now, we both wanna have fun with it and keep it private.
