Snow Season [COMPLETE]

Chapter 17

The morning passes by rather quickly but you're counting the minutes till the clock hits one.

You're rounding up, saying goodbye to the kids you were teaching this morning. It's a bit of a chaos, it being the first day of the season and all the parents wanting to pick up their kids and ask you questions.

The crowd finally parts and that's when you see him. Standing exactly where he said he would. Waiting for you with that heart stopping smile of his. You heart makes a loop inside your chest and you hurry over to him.

Now that you saw him, every second his lips aren't on yours, is a second too long.

You jump and he lifts you up in his long, long, strong arms, welcoming you with a kiss. His scent embraces you and you nuzzle your face in the crook of his neck.

"Hey, baby."

"Hey, handsome. Miss me?"

"Hated every second. How was work?"

"It was okay. The kids are cool. I'm glad I've got the third group now, they're between eight and ten years old. I swear these kids have endless amounts of energy. But I'm glad I get to spend the rest of the day with you now." You place kisses all over his face and smile. "I've got four kids this week. There was this one kid who slapped my ass!"

"Am I gonna have to kick his ass?"

"He's eight so I think I got it, but thanks, babe. Good to know you are willing to hit kids to defend my honor." You giggle.

You wait for Aria and Penelope so you can all go up together to meet Nate and Matt for lunch.

Penelope and Aria come running up. "Babe!"

"Babes!"

They arrive and up you go.

"How was it?"

"Good. I have four kids. Group one."

"That's ages four to six." You turn to Elijah. "I got slapped on my ass by an eight year old."

Aria chuckles. "That's nice. Any famous kids?"

"I got Gwen Stefani's kid."

"Was he the ass slapper?"

"No that was just some entitled rich kid."

"How was your day, Aria? Penelope asks.

"It was busy!"

"Hey, did you go boarding with the guys, babe?"

"Yeah, it was fun. The snow's really good. I love new season snow."

"It's the best, right? All soft and clean!" Aria says while grabbing her lift pass.

You arrive at the restaurant at the top and see Nate and Matt sitting at a table outside.

Penelope runs up to Matt. "Hey, mister."

"Hey gorgeous, how was your day so far?"

Its cute how his face lights up when he sees her.

"Busy but good. I got the little ones, they're so cute."

"He, handsome. How was your morning?"

"Hey, babe. Good, fun. How was yours?"

Aria sits down next to him and takes a swig of his beer. "Super busy! First day is always crazy." 

Penelope picks up the menu. "Did you order yet?"

"Of course not, love, we waited for you."

Everyone orders burgers and fries. You eat and talk for a while and enjoy the sunshine. For some reason, getting the sun on your face, always feels better on top of a mountain. For a minute you just close your eyes and lift your face towards the sun. Soaking in her warmth. It's like soaking in pure happiness. You cancel out all noise and just enjoy the moment with a smile on your face.
