Chapter 54

It's the morning after Elijah proposed. Yep, that's right. You're engaged! To the most incredible and hot man in the world!

You wake up to the sound of the bedroom door closing. You carefully open one eye and see Elijah fully dressed leaning on the bed, smiling at you.

"Morning, fiancée."

"Mmm... Morning fiancé." You smile and feel his soft lips on yours. "Why are you dressed? You're never up before me."

"I went out to get breakfast."

"Mmm good, I'm starving."

"Who wakes up starving?"

"Women who are carrying two babies."

"Good thing I bought enough food to feed a small country, then."

He chuckles and nods.

"Gotta pee first."

"Of course."

You yawn and stretch and spread out over the entire bed.

"For a very tiny person, you do know how to occupy a giant sized bed.

You laugh and stretch just a little further before getting up to go to the bathroom.

You put on your PJ's and head downstairs. Nate, Aria, Matt and Penelope are already all on the couch in their PJ's as well. Nate is reading the newspaper, Aria and Penelope are casually talking and Matt is busy on his phone.

Penelope sees you coming down the stairs and smiles. "Morning mama."

"How was your date night, babe?"

"Morning. It was..." You look at Elijah with the biggest smile on your face.

"No, don't tell us. I don't wanna hear it. My ears are gonna start bleeding if you do."

You chuckle. "Okay, then I won't tell. Too bad, cause you'd wanna hear about it."

"Shut up, Penelope! I wanna hear about their date night." Aria bitches.

"Well... We went to this new restaurant on top of the mountain. It has the most amazing view over the valley. And the food... Holy crap. There were twelve courses."

Matt looks at you in shock. "Twelve?!"

"She's feeding three people, remember," Nate responds.

"Right. Sorry, carry on."

"I've never tasted more delicious food in my life. Swear to god. It was ridiculous. The dessert was so good Elijah ordered seven to go so I could eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner."

"That's what those black containers in the fridge are!"

"Yes. And don't touch them! You touch them, I kill you."

Nate raises his hands in innocence.

"She's not kidding..."

"Anyway... We got back home, took a shower...and then this happened..." You stick out your hand and flash them your ring.

Penelope jumps up. "Whaaat?!"

"Oh my god oh my god oh my god!"

"Dude yes!" Matt jumps up and cheers.

Nate drops the newspaper and shouts: "No fucking way! This is amazing!"

Again, there's screaming, jumping and bouncing. You've been getting these kind of reactions practically every month now. You start giggling and look at Elijah who looks just as excited as you feel.
