You sleepily rolled onto your side and expected nothing but sheets.
Instead you found your fiancée.
Erik wrapped both arms around you and your eyes opened quickly after the realization that Erik wasn't at practice. "Babe!" You muttered in a concerned voice.
"Yeah?" He said sleepily.
"Practice, you're late."
"I'm not going. I asked for the day off."
"Why would you do that?" You replied with a groan.
"Babe, it's your birthday!! C'mon. You don't turn 21 every day."
"What if coach needed you today."
"I explained to him how important this was and he understood."
You sighed and replied:
"I sound so ungrateful..."
He chuckled and leaned in to kiss you. "I know it's just because you care. Happy Birthday baby. "
"Thank you Erik. This is the sweetest birthday present."
He smiled and said with a peck on the lips: "Not just that babe.
I have plenty more surprised in store for my princess."
You sighed and slipped your fingers into the hair on back of his hair.
"You spoil me."
He leaned in his lips at your forehead.
"As long as I can I will sweetie.
Now let's go downstairs so I can make you breakfast, we can take a shower and the we'll take you shopping. I'm going to spoil you and you cannot say anything on the contrary about it."
You crossed your arms in defeat and said: "Okay."
...later....
"This is too much babe, thank you."
He carried what seemed like endless bags and placed them in the trunk of your black Range Rover.
"No we have to go pick up a few things at Mario's House that I need then we can go home and I'll give you your last birthday present."
"Okay I guess." You replied clueless.
You took this time to answer your unread birthday texts from family members and friends.
"Thank you for the Uggs baby."
He smiled and kissed your handz
"Anything for you my love."
The car stopped and Erik unbuckled his seatbelt.
"Babe? Can you come help me? I don't think Mario's home."
"Sure sweetie-pie."
You gladly followed him inside and said: "What are you picking up?"
He smiled and opened the door.
You peered inside and gasped.
"SURPRISE!!!"
You glanced around at your friends and family.
Erik chuckled and said:
"Happy Birthday babygirl."
You pressed your lips to his cheek and muttered: "You always manage to surprise me! Who's idea was this?"
"Mario and Mats." He said pointing at them.
"They gave me the idea. Mario offered his place and Mats gathered all our friends and family.
Mats and Mario both stood there smiling:
"Happy Birthday Hun."
You gave them each a hug and thanked them.
You turned back and wrapped your arms around his waist.
"I love you. Thank You for this baby."
"I love you too. You're welcome babe."
You spent the rest of the night enjoying yourself with friends, family and of course Erik.
