"Leo there's still soap in his hair.."
Your husband carefully washed the soap out of your one year old son; Diego's hair. Leo was helping you bathe him, he wanted to enjoy the small break from training Barça had had given to the players.
It was nice having him around to spend more time with Thiago and Diego.
Leo gently washed the little one's feet, making him giggle wildly.
Diego gently splashed water towards his dad.
Leo raised an eyebrow at the giggling child and gently splashed him back. He was careful enough not to splash directly into his eyes.
You smiled at your dark haired son and cooed: "Diegito it's time to get out. Thiago's coming home."
You held out a soft white towel and Leo wrapped around his youngest son. "Let's go, with Mamí to put on clothes." Leo slipped the dark blue onesie onto his son and smiled looking up at you:
"We're matching."
"Thiago's wearing the same color shirt." As Leo fixed his youngest son's hair and Diego kicked around, your arms wrapped around his waist. Leo pressed his lips to yours and you smiled:
"Thiago was really happy that you took him to school today."
"I know, he was smiling from ear to ear. Toni should be home any minute now with him."
Leo and Toni had remained friends after the separation and respectfully shared custody for Thiago's sake. You understood and cared for Thiago as much as Toni and she respected you for that. When you got pregnant with Diego, she helped you out. Toni was currently pregnant with her boyfriend's child and you were happily taking a few extra days with Thiago so she could prepare for her new baby. The doorbell rang and you made your way downstairs.
Leo opened the door as you placed Diego on your hip.
He was happily sucking on his pacifier. Toni held Thiago's hand and his backpack on her shoulder. "Hello." She said with a smile, as she put Thiago down.
Leo smiled and took the little one in his arms. He kissed his forehead and you hugged Toni's waist.
"You're looking really good, you look better than I did when I was 5 months." She chuckled and rested her hands on her bulging belly.
"Thiago has a homework assignment. He needs to color in some drawings and I'll be here to pick him up Monday morning."
Leo came over and let Thiago give his mom a kiss goodbye."How was a school today Amor?" You asked Thiago as you were making your boys grilled cheese sandwiches. "It was good, Mãe."
Leo was sitting on the counter next to you while Diego was playing with cheerios on his highchair and Thiago was sitting across from you.
Leo gave you a cheesy smile and winked: "He called you Mãe."
"Yeah, he calls me that instead of my name & he calls Toni Mamí."
Thiago was feeding Diego Cheerios, not paying attention.
You cut the sandwich into pieces and placed it infornt of the five year old. You handed Leo a plate with a sandwhich and he handed you a half and smiled.
"You're a great mommy you know that right?" He said between bites.
You smiled and leaned up kissing his cheek. "I know, I love you. You're an amazing dad too babe."
"I love you too."
Thiago scrunched his nose and groaned: "Ewww." Diego caught on and groaned aswell.
Leo rolled his eyes and chuckled and you felt your cheeks burn.
"Eat your lunches guys c'mon."
