You put the glass down. The ice has melted in almost no time. Damn Los Angeles weather. You ask for more ice, but the barman doesn't have any anymore, and you'd have to wait long enough for your Sprite to turn hot.
"Damn, I hate summer."
"Oh c'mon, don't complain. The hottest girls come here in the summer. You don't wanna miss out."
"And I don't want a girlfriend."
Priscilla rolls her eyes and slightly shakes her head in despair. You know she probably would've wanted to go somewhere else than a lesbian bar but still came with you - or maybe more dragged you down there - just because she wants you to finally find yourself a girl.
Anyway. She caught a few other straight friends on the way here, and even though they disappeared somewhere in the bar looking for the bathroom a while ago, you know that thanks to them, she won't get bored. In anyway, she's not likely to be.
She plays with her own empty glass, making it roll on the side with the tip of her finger, and the last few drops of her tequila roll on the wooden bar. She picks it up and looks at you right in the eyes.
"What do you have against relationships ?"
"I don't have anything against relationships," you sigh, "I just... I guess I just don't feel like being in one."
"Bitch, you don't even know what it's like."
She makes her glass fall again.
"You've never been in one."
"Alright. Well, it doesn't attract me."
It truly doesn't. Belonging to something or even someone and being so exclusive almost makes you wanna throw up.
"It's just because you haven't found the right person, yet. When you do, you'll love it."
You highly doubt it.
"Where are these assholes at ? Okay, hey there ! Did you drown or something ?!" Priscilla yells at the two friends she brought down here with you.
"Guys, you won't believe what we heard."
"Tell us," you grown, "We'll see."
The girl who just spoke looks at you in a weird way ; probably wondering why you answered that curtly. Honestly, you just want to be done and leave this place. Bars feel like the worst to you. Too much noise, too many people and too much alcohol. You just want her to get over with what seems so exciting to her so that you can smoke your joint and leave.
"We heard a couple people in the back who were in the bar next to this one sooner in the evening," the girl starts relating, "They said they saw Angelina Jolie."
"Do you realize that ?" the other girl exclaimed, "Angelina fucking Jolie. Aka the most beautiful woman in the world."
Your eyes go back to your glass, and you finish it in one sip. Wow. How crazy. A superstar is probably standing a few feet away from you. You don't even really know what this Jolie looks like - and you honestly don't care - and it's written all over your face.
The girl who first talked stares at you, more and more upset about your reactions. Probably a fangirl.
"Don't tell me you..." she starts, before shaking her head in disagreement, "Whatever. We have to move from here. It's just next door ! We could find her !"
