"She's my cousin you arse!"

"Harry!" I called to a framiliar raven haired boy as I picked up my trunk.

Harry spotted me and smiled. "Eden!" He walked up to where I was.

"I see you brought Hazel with you." He set down Hedwigs cage next to him. The white bird ruffled his feathers at the motion.

"Being able to bring a pet to a new school is rather fantastic." I smiled at my own owl, who was brown and grey. "It's crazy that I'm going to Hogwarts. Can you believe it?" The excitement in my voice showing.

Harry shook his head, keeping his eyes down.
Not mentioning what happened last year was for the best. After the chamber of secrets was opened, the school has been extra cautious of what the students do. According to what I heard, Harry wasn't one for following the rules so having extra security around the grounds wasn't his favorite thing.

"Have you seen Hermione?" Harry asked, looking around.

I shook my head, also glancing around. Inside I was excited to meet the famous Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley that Harry talked about in his letters. Well the few I did get from him.

"You didn't write." Harry looked up with a confused face.

"You'd think you would write after finding out that you're related to a Venus." I clarified.

"I would've but Dudley had me busy with his chores all summer. I barely had time to write to Ron or Hermione." As Harry spoke, I saw the train arrive.

"We better get going, can't be late on the first day." I gathered my things and started walking to the train that read Hogwarts Express.

Once we had found our seats, we were swiftly met by two people who looked around our age.

"You must be Hermione Granger." I reached out my hand to shake the girls hand.

"I'm Eden." I continued, she gave me a questionable look but shook it anyway and took a seat next to Harry.

"You're Ronald Weasley then?" I offered a hand to him to but he just nodded, giggles coming from Hermione.

"Did I get it right?" I asked, taking a seat next to the ginger. He looked at me and muttered, "It's Ron."

"Bloody hell Harry! You didn't tell me you had a girlfriend." Ron crossed his arms, acting like a child.

Harry coughed on his water. "She's my cousin you arse!"

Hermione and Ron exchanged looks. "Cousin? I thought that Dudley and his family we're your only living relatives?" Hermione questioned, putting her hand by her left boot. I peered over and saw her wand sticking out.

"So did I. Until I got a letter from Dumbledore telling me otherwise." Harry explained. "He claims that my father had family he wasn't aware of. That he had a brother named Lee Potter who was born a muggle. His family disowned Lee and he changed his last name to Venus."

I smiled at the sound of my fathers name, proud to come from his wealth and story.

"Claims?" Ron asked, scooting closer to the door. He kept his eyes on the wand in my bag.

"He shared proof with me and I guess I can't wrap my head around, my grandparents disowning their own child because they were born a muggle. I didn't know them well though." Harry said, sadness in his voice of the mention of his dad.

"Wait did you say Venus? As in Marigold Venus?" Hermione moved her hand away from her wand and smoothing her skirt instead.

Ron looked at us with a confused expression.

"My mother is a witch who fell in love with a muggle." I motioned to Harry, "His uncle."

Hermione said "Remarkable." under her breath just as Ron said, "Bloody hell."

"How do you know about the Venus family? Read about it in one of your books?" The Weasley took a chocolate frog off passing cart.

"Marigold is a legend at Hogwarts." I blushed at Hermiones words.

"If she's such a legend than why haven't I heard of her?" Ron pitched back.

I rolled my eyes along with Hermione. "You Weasley boys can be so naive." Ron crossed his arms again which earned a glare from Harry.

"She was Dumbledores apprentice and attended school with." I paused and looked down at my lap.

"With who?" Ron asked, interested in what I was saying.

"Well um." I began, unable to finish.

"Tom Riddle." Harry said in a somber tone.

Hermione gasped, putting her hands to her mouth. "The Tom Riddle? He who-shall-not-beo-named!"

I nodded. "My mother and Tom we're close at school. Tom distanced himself from most people but my mother. That's why I wasn't to attend Hogwarts for a few years, in fear something bad would happen. My mother has been teaching me my studies at home, to make sure I'm caught up." I clarified, not wanting to talk about it anymore.

"I'll answer your questions later." I heard Harry whisper to Hermione who looked like she was about to burst with questions. I shot Harry a grateful look.

"So Tom Riddle shows up in the Chamber of Secrets, and your mother seems it's fit to have her daughter go to the same school a year later?" Ron nearly yells.

"It wasn't my mother's idea. It was Dumbledores." Was all I said, turning my attention to a spell book in my bag.
