"Why did I find you crying by yourself? Kinda pathetic really." Draco joked, he leaned against the desk.

"What are you doing over here sulking by yourself?" I looked up to meet a framiliar pair of grey eyes.

"I'm not in the mood to deal with you right now." I said, standing up from the bench.

"Just wait a second will you?" He grabbed my arm. I glanced at his grip and back at him. "Have you been crying?"

I paused and wipped my eyes with my sleave. "It's nothing."

He looked at me for a few moments before sighing. "Come with me." He started walking.

I followed him past the library and to a deserted hallway near the medical wing. He went to a painting of an old man sitting on a bridge.

"Malfoy draco. Ego aperiam." He whispered to the man.

The man gave him a look but nodded regardless and the paiting opened, reavealing a small room.

"What is this place." I walked into the room, greeted by chilly air.

"I found it first year. Quite brilliant isn't it." He said, proud of this find.

"Very." I replied, running my hand over a pile of books.

Inside the room there was a long couch, a bookcase filled with spells, a small window and a desk under it.

"Why did I find you crying by yourself? Kinda pathetic really." Draco joked, he leaned against the desk. The whites of his knuckles showing as he gripped the wood.

I rolled my eyes. "It's silly. I really don't want to discuss it, Draco."

Draco just started at me, waiting for me to continue.

"I had a disagreement with Hermione and I don't know. It hurts because I thought we were friends." I said, unintentionally raising my voice.

I rubbed my temples, annoyed again.

"That's what you should expect from a mudblood." Draco replied coldy.

"Excuse you, Malfoy! I understand that you don't do sympathy but you can't go around using mudblood like that." My voice strained.

I could feel another wave of tears coming but I refused to cry in front of him.

"What's it to you?" He scoffed, adjusting his rings.

"My father is a muggle, unless you've forgotten! Now if you'll excuse me. I didn't come with you to get insulted. I've had enough of that today." I got up to leave, for what seems like the millionth time.

"Eden, stay." He paused and motioned to the couch.

"If you insult me one more time." I said softly, taking a seat next to him.

"In my defense I was talking about Granger, I didn't mean to offend you." Draco smoothed his rope. The dark green really popping with his skin tone.

"Why did you bring me here?" I asked bluntly, looking around the room again.

Draco looked at me and then back down at where his hand was on the couch. "I'm looking out for a friend. You would've been the laugh of the school, if someone else found you crying over a Granger."

"I wasn't aware I has earned 'Friend Status' yet." I joked.

Our eyes connected again, this time it was different.

I saw the kindess in his eyes. The kindess he rarely showed.

"We should go back to our studies. I need to meet with Crabbe and Boyle." Draco cleared his throat and got up.

"Right." I waved goodbye and left the room.
