"Malfoy, shut your trap for once or I'll push you down these stairs." I huffed, rather annoyed with the way he was acting.
________Over the next few days I acquainted myself with the staff and other members of the Slytherin house, spending most of my time with Blaise and Pansy.
I learnt that the two boys who always follow Draco around were named Crabbe and Goyle, disgusting lads.
The night before we were suppose to start going to classes I couldn't sleep. Instead I wondered into the Slytherin common room, hoping to clear my head a bit.
"Draco?" I asked as I walked i to the lowly lit room. In front of the window, with a view of the black lake, sat a framiliar blonde.
His head turned to see me standing there. "Can't sleep?" I moved toward where he was sitting, having someone to talk to about tomorrow was better than sitting alone by myself.
Even if that person was the infamous Malfoy.
"You're really related to Potter?" He asked, moving over so I could sit by him.
"Is that so hard to believe?" I countered, moving my legs up toward my chest.
"Quite honestly? Yes. You're a Venus and a Slytherin." Draco replied, fiddling with the rings on his fingers. He returned his attention back to the window.
I peered out at the lake. It was a beautiful site to see, with the moon reflecting off of it.
"He isn't that bad, Draco." My voice drift off as I spoke.
He rolled his eyes, ignoring my comment. I shivered and was immediately glad that the room was being warmed by a fireplace.
I glanced at Draco, whos face was being slightly lit up by the pale moonlight outside. As much as I hated to admit it, he was actually quite attractive in this light. When he wasn't being a complete div.
"What? Do I have something on my face?" He wiped his face when he noticed me staring. I shook my head.
"Why are you awake?" I questioned.
"I'm waiting for my father to send me a letter back. It's been a few days." He shrugged.
I knew something else was bothering him but I wasn't going to press the subject.
"You think he's going to owl you back at this hour?" I paused when I saw the look on Dracos face. "He'll get back to you soon."
"Why are you awake?" Draco ran his hand through his hair, then locked eyes with me.
"Nervous for school tomorrow. That's all." I looked away.
"Stick with me and you'll be okay." He said confidently.
Being around Draco all day was the last thing I wanted to do. I wanted more time with Harry, Hermione and Ron. But instead I just said, "Doubtful."
Draco smiled but then immediately rolled his eyes.
I said goodnight and went back to bed, my head spinning of the thought of tomorrow."Care of Magical Creatures is a complete waste of time!" Draco complained from in front of where Blaise and I were standing. "And why are there so many stairs to this Ogre's house?"
"Malfoy, shut your trap for once or I'll push you down these stairs." I huffed, rather annoyed with the way he was acting.
"It would shorten his trip." Pansy whispered to me.
I giggled and Draco shot us a 'What's so funny?' look, causing Pansy and I too laugh even more.
"Blaise could you carry my bags." Pansy whined, taking off her bag and holding them out to Blaise.
