"Cedric!" I ran over and gave Cedric a hug.
I can't deny how strapping he looked in his deep red sweater and black trousers. Red was definitely his color and he looked amazing.
"Hey." He returned the hug with equal happiness.
I let go and stepped back, looking around for Blaise.
Cedric caught my eyes and cleared his throat. "He's still helping Neville. He's going to be running late."
I nodded, "Awesome well do you wanna sit somewhere?"
"I was thinking the astronomy tower? There's this comet." He paused and his face turned pink when he talked.
"Sure. I didn't know you liked astrology." I smiled, walking forward.
He blushed again and met my pace, "It's an excellent class."
"I bet." I smiled, "Do you like the stars?"
He nodded, "I know it sounds silly but I enjoy looking at the moon and wishing on it. It gives me a sense of relaxation."
"Interesting." I playfully bumped his arm as we walked.
When we reached the top of the tower I noticed how there was already a blanket set up near the window.
"Wow." I breathed, taking it all in.
The stars seems to shine brighter tonight and they twinkled ever so slightly.
He had set up candles around the window, giving off a romantic feel. I blushed when he reached out for my hand.
Cedric walked me over to the window and motioned for me to sit down.
"Is it just me or are the stars out earlier tonight?" I asked, peering out the window at the almost black sky.
"They are." He nodded, taking a bite of the chicken that was sitting in a basket. "Something about the comet I suppose."
"Very neat." I replied, not faking my enthusiasm.
It was nice to be up here with Cedric and it was clear he actually cared about my feelings.
When I was with Draco I wasn't sure. Sometimes it felt like he genuinely cared for me but at the same time, he could be quite cold.
"So I remember you told me that your patronus was a Menelaus blue morpho butterfly." He stuttered over his words and looking everywhere but at me.
I reached over and grabbed his hand, "You alright?"
He nodded and cleared his throat again, "Well I got you this. I saw it and it reminded me of you."
He handed me a beige colored box about the size of my palm.
I gasped when I opened it.
Sitting inside was a beautiful blue opal butterfly and it rested on a silver chain. I picked it up and it seemed to reflect the starlight from outside, making it shine brighter.
