"First of all. I do what I want, when I want with who I want. Second of all. You must be more bat shit crazy than I thought if you actually think I would ever listen to you."

"How are you?" Blaise asked gently, taking the books from my arms and matching my pace.
It had been three days since I saw my father dying in front of me. Three, long, horrific days of reliving something I didn't think I deserved to see every time I closed my eyes.
"Not great." I replied honestly, "I am capable of carrying my own books."
"I know." Blaise shrugged.
"Professor Lupin has been helping me work through the trauma." I paused, "Well he calls it trauma."
"It was traumatic. I was there, Eden. It wasn't a pretty sight." Blaise handed me back my books when we reached the quidditch fields.
"Right but I'm fine." I took my books and hugged them close to my chest.
Was I fine? Who knew.
"You just told me you weren't great." Blaise questioned, raising an eye brow.
I rolled my eyes, looking at the ground.
"Since class, everyone has been treating me like I'm some pathetic child. My father isn't dead. It was just my fear." I said annoyed, but it wasn't directed at Blaise and I hoped he'd see that.
"If that's how you want to look at it." Blaise shrugged, "If you want to talk..."
"I know. Thank you." I gave him a half hearted smile in which he returned.
"Now, if you'll excuse me. I promised Neville I'd help him study for potions," He gave me a quick hug and backed up, "We still up for dinner?"
"Of course." I nodded, completely forgetting we had made plans. "Six?"
Blaise looked at his watch and made a face.
"Seven?" He asked while rubbing his neck. "Neville needs a lot of help."
I nodded again, "Totally. Seven it is."
"Brilliant." He said with a wave and headed back up the hill, leading to Hogwarts.
At least now I had something to look forward to tonight.
"Just the person I was looking for!" I called up to the Quidditch stands.
"Looking for me? Should I be scared?" Credric asked, popping his head up.
Even from where I was standing I could tell he had been reading or something of the sort.
"Hey, Ced!" I said enthusiastically, walking up the stairs of the stands.
Harry had told me this morning that all Quidditch practices were to be canceled due to the weather. Though, by looking at the sky I couldn't see why. There were clouds but it didn't feel like it was going to rain.
"Eden, always a pleasure." Cedric wiped off the seat next to him and motioned for me to sit, "I was hoping to see you today."
"Oh?" I asked, sitting down.
"We haven't talked since Nevilles birthday party." He reminded, fixing the sleeves of his hufflepuff sweater.
I looked down at my own clothes. I was wearing a simple white tank, black pants, and a light green belt. I had been wearing a green sweater earlier but I had forgotten it in my room.
