Welcome Home

(3 days later.)
"This is your first home bud." I said walking through the doorway.
I was holding my baby wrapped in a blanket in my arms.
"Come on I'm gonna show you around."
Jay was right behind me holding my hospital bag.
"Sophia he's 3 days old I don't think he's gonna remember the tour of his house."
Jay said with a laugh.
"Oh shut up Jay."
He laughed again.
"So this is the kitchen. And then this over here is the living room."
I heard Jay laugh again.
I walked upstairs with Jay behind me.
"This is your nursery. This is where your gonna sleep. See look Daddy put a sign that says your name on the wall. Right above your crib."
I grabbed his tiny fingers in my hands and pointed towards the sign.
I took him into one of the spare bedrooms.
"One day this is gonna be your brother or sisters room."
I saw Jay smile at the thought of more kids.
"Ok now we are gonna go to the best part of the house."
I walked over to me and Jays bedroom.
"This is mommy and daddy's room."
I felt an arm on my shoulder.
I looked up and smiled at Jay.
"Come on we should introduce him to the intelligence unit and to 51. They've been bugging me since he was born."
"Alright come on let's go."

We drove to the firehouse.
I put my baby into the carrier and carried him into the firehouse with Jay behind me.
"Hey guys!" Mouch greeted me
"Hey. Where's the rest of 51?"
"Conference room getting morning assignments. I'm heading there now."
"Ok I'm gonna introduce him to 51 so we'll come."
"Okay."
Me and Jay walked behind Mouch.
"Guys we have visitors." I heard him say.
He motioned us in.
I heard everyone say hi and then I placed the carrier on the table.
"I want you all to meet Benjamin Patrick Halstead. Or you can call him Benny or Ben." I said with a smile.
Everyone came over to greet him.
"Did you name him after dad?"
Kelly asked.
"Yeah we named him after dad and Jays dad."
"Dad's gonna be so excited."
"I know I can't wait to introduce him to him."
I said with a smile.
After 10 minutes of them playing with my baby I grabbed his carrier.
"Well we are gonna get going he still has to meet the intelligence unit and then our parents."
"Ok bye!"
I heard gabby say.
We said goodbye to the rest of 51 and went back out to Jays truck.

"Hey Trudy!"
"Hey Sophia! Hi Jay."
She came out from behind the desk to give me a hug but stopped when she saw the carrier I was holding.
"Awww whose this little guy?"
"Ben."
"He's so cute. Thank god he doesn't look like you Jay." I laughed at that comment.
"It was nice meeting you Ben."
I waved his little fingers goodbye and then we walked upstairs.
"Hey guys!"
"Hey!"
I placed Ben's carrier on Jay's desk.
"So do you want to meet Ben?"
Everyone came over and said hi to him.
"So did you figure out who his godparents are yet?" Antonio asked
"Yeah. Natalie and Will."
"That hurts. No I'm kidding congrats guys really." Antonio said with a laugh.
"Hey look he looks just like Sophia, I think you lucked out Jay." Hailey commented making me laugh.
After a couple more minutes we left to go see my mom and Katie, even though katie isn't her biological daughter they get along great and they live together.

I knocked on the door a couple times and Katie opened it.
"Hey sophia hey Jay."
She gave us both a hug.
"Come in." She lead us to the kitchen where my mom was sitting.
"Hey mom!"
"Hey guys."
"I want you both to meet our son."
"What's his name?" My mom asked picking him up out of his carrier.
"Benjamin Patrick Halstead." Jay said.
"I love him already."
Katie said grabbing him out of my moms arms.
"Ben that's grandma and that's aunt Katie."
I pointed towards them.
After introducing him to my mom and sister me and Jay went to go see his father.
"Hey dad."
"Hey Jay. Hi Sophia."
"Hi."
We walked in and intruded Ben to Jays dad.
We left and went to my dads house.
He let us in and we introduced him to Ben.
"He's named after me?"
"Yes dad."
"This is amazing! I love you both so much. And I love you Benny."
I smiled as my dad held Ben.
Afterwards we left.

After placing Ben in his crib I walked to my bedroom and layer in bed next to Jay.
"Today was a long day."
"Yeah it was. But I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world."
"Me neither." Jay said before kissing me.
"I love you Jay."
"I love you too."
