Someone Call The Intelligiance Unit!

(2 weeks later.)
"Jay this is really dangerous are you sure you want to do this?" I asked while picking up my clothes that were thrown on the floor.
"I know it's dangerous but I have to do it I don't have a choice I'm sorry."
"But you are going to do a drug deal with a cartel member who is known to kill his buyers."
"Yeah but I'll have the rest of intelligence with me."
I sighed and turned to look at him.
"Jay I get that your willing to sacrifice your life but I'm not ready to lose you."
"I promise I'll be safe." I gave him a half smile.
"Ok. I love you."
"I love you too." He had gotten out of bed before I did so he left before me.
"See you after work Jay!" I yelled while he was walking out the door.

I was sitting in the firehouse when Mouch walked in.
"Hey welcome back how was your honeymoon?" I gave him a hug.
"It was great!"
"That's awesome I'm happy for you guys."
"Thank you."
I smiled and went to find Gabby.
I found her in the bathroom.
"Hey what are you doing?"
"Fixing my lip gloss. Guess what me and Matt found out."
She said before turning to me.
"What?"
"We can officially adopt Louie."
"Oh my gosh that's amazing! Congrats!"
"Thank you."
She got a call on her phone so I went back out to my locker.
Stella came and sat next to me.
"I'm freaking out."
"Why?"
"Kelly asked me to move in with him."
"So then do it."
"You know what your right, I'm gonna go tell him now."
"Okay." I laughed as she walked away.

"Factory Fire. Squad 3, Truck 81, Engine 51, Ambo 61."
We ran towards the rigs and once we got to the scene we got our gear on and I went in with Stella next to me.
"Sophia the boys got the rest of the factory let's check out the basement, make sure nobody else is down there."
I nodded.
I went to walk down the steps.
"I hear someone I'm gonna go get them."
She walked away
"Go ahead I'll wait for you."
Suddenly I fell to the ground
An explosion.
"No! Damnit!" The stairs fell to the ground.
I was trapped.
"Chief, I'm stuck in the basement the stairs gave out." I said into my radio.
"Is there any windows Sophia?"
"No chief."
"Find a way out of there."
"Chief the fire jumped, we got surrounded." I heard Hermann say through the radio.
I knew something was wrong with Mouch so I knew that wasn't good.
Another explosion happened and now there was fire all around me.
"Hermann entrance is blocked. Put Mouch on your shoulder if you have to but you get the hell out. Casey evacuate that building anyway you can. Same goes for you too Sophia." I knew Casey was trapped as well. I started searching for a door or something so I could get out of this basement.
"Mouch, Mouch you gotta get out of there."
"He can't talk Joe."
"Mouch I'm so sorry Mouch, please don't die on us." Joe sounded like he was crying.
I kept looking for a window or a door or anything.
"Chief there's no way out." I said
The fire around me got bigger.
"Chief Chief." I heard Casey say.
"Matt."
"Casey. Tell me you found an exit."
"Uhh negative Chief."
Shelves started falling around me.
"Chief is Gabby there? Put her on."
"Yeah baby I'm here, I'm here."
"Gabby you know how much you mean to me right?" It sounded like he took his mask off.
"Matt did you take your mask off."
More shelves fell around me.
The fire rose hire.
"I want you to hear my voice."
"No no, don't you say that Matt. Listen to me, you put your mask back on and you get out of there now."
"Your the best thing that ever happened to me."
"Matt don't. Use your haligan or your hands and find a wall and break it udown. You hear me."
"Gabby. I want you to remember us happy...." The Fire started getting bigger and closer and I knew wasn't getting out so I moved where there was the least fire and sat down. I checked my air I was running out.
"...Holding each other, your my miracle Gabby. Your my miracle. I love you."
"I love you so much Matt. Promise me you will find a way out." Then it happened the biggest explosion all day.
I got knocked down to the ground followed by a shelf. I blacked out.

(Chief Bodens pov)
A huge explosion happened.
"Oh no."
"Squad 3 report."
"We are all good Chief."
"Casey report."
We waited in horrible silence for a few seconds.
"I'm good Chief, I'm good."
"Truck 81 report. Hermann report."
"I'm coming out now Chief with Mouch."
I saw Hermann walk out with Mouch and Stella.
"Oh thank god." They brought Mouch over to the other ambulance.
"Severide Report."
Nothing
"Sophia report!"
Then Squad 3 came out followed by Casey.
Gabby ran up to Casey and gave him a hug.
"Kelly have you seen Sophia? She was trapped in the basement and she's not answering her radio."
"She's trapped in the basement?"
Kelly asked with a worried look.
I nodded my head.
"Well let's go get her! Get me a ladder."
Squad 3, Kidd, and I went into the fire with a ladder.
We got down into the basement and searched for Sophia.
"Chief she's over here!" I heard Stella yell.
We ran over and saw she was trapped under a metal shelf.
"We need to get this off of her."
We lifted the shelf up.
"Chief shes our of air."
Kelly took her mask off and put his on her face.
"Casey I need a stokes basket down here now!" I said into my radio.
I saw a stokes basket being lowered down the ladder.
We put Sophia in the stokes basket and lifted her up and out of the basement and the factory all together.
She was unconscious
We brought her over to Brett and Gabby and filled them in.
"She's not breathing on her own."
"Someone call the intelligence unit! Get Jay Halstead here now!"

(Jays Pov.)
I was standing with Adam leaning up against my truck. We had just arrested the drug dealer and I got out safe. That will make Sophia happy at least.
Voight came over to me and Adam.
"Hey sarge what's up?"
"51 needs us there a block out. They said it was important we gotta go now."
What would 51 need?
We drove to where they were and Hank and I walked up to Chief Boden.
"Hey Chief what's going on?"
"Jay I think you should go look at who's laying on the stretcher."
I was confused but walked over there anyway. I saw Sophia laying on a stretcher with leads on her chest and and an intubation tube down her throat.
"What happened?"
"She got caught in the basement and she ran out of air, she was also trapped under a shelf."
"Can I ride with you guys to med?"
"Yeah of course come on."
I hopped in the back of the ambulance with Gabby. I held Sophias hand tight.
"Come on Sophia you can do this."

Sophia had to be brought into surgery because she had internal bleeding where the shelf fell.
Will walked out and I stood up with Kelly and the rest of 51.
"How is she?"
"Luckily we didn't have to take any of her lung out, we stopped the bleeding and she's stable and awake."
"Can I see her?" I asked
"Yeah come on."

(Sophias pov)
Will had taken the intubation tub out and I was breathing on my own.
I saw Jay walk in and I smiled.
"Hey beautiful. How are you feeling?"
"Great." I said sarcastically.
He laughed at me.
"We did the deal safely."
"That's great. Obviously I didn't do my job safely." I said with a laugh.
"Yeah but you made it out alive, and I'm thankful for that."
"Me too." He gave me a kiss on the forehead and sat next to my bed and he stayed like that for the rest of the night.

(2 weeks later.)
I was currently sitting at the island in Jay and I's apartment looking for something to eat.
I heard the door open and shut.
"Hey babe!" I yelled greeting Jay.
"Hey what are you doing."
"Looking for something for dinner do you want takeout?"
"Sure but I actually need to ask you something."
"Whats up?" I asked still paying attention to what I was doing.
"This is important you need to look at me." I turned around to face him.
"Is everything alright?"
He nodded.
"This isn't how I wanted to do this, but i've been thinking about doing this for a while now. Hell I don't even have a ring yet. But I had a tough case today and it made realize how truly lucky I am. So what I'm trying to ask is if you will marry me?" My mouth fell open and my hand flew to it.
"Sophia Callie Severide, will you make me the luckiest man on Earth and marry me?"
"Yes. Of course I will marry you." I wrapped my arms around his neck. He lifted me off the stool and I wrapped my legs around his waist.
"I love you."
"I love you too. I love you so much."
