In Your Glory

Some days I try to breathe
Hard enough for it to leave
My soul and give life to yours
Yours sure did matter more.

Other days I recall
The length of your black clouds
And wonder how the weather felt
Beneath their blaring loud

Thunder of a roaring life
Now silenced by feet they say is six
Too far away some days I feel
Not enough other nights remind me.

Maybe I could pull you out
Mould some clay into your skin
Caress your eyes with light
And color your cheeks in pink.

But the demons of the day
Are pawns of a God above
In love with the chaos death creates
They will bury you further away.

So I give up and stay put
Wait for my turn
To be one with the earth
And sky, as you have become.

I prepare a speech and write few words
To sing to you with melody from stars
With hopes to watch you sway to it
I breathe once more as times pass.
