My breath belonged to yours
A while back I could not
Fathom a life that brought
All but you, yet here I breathe
An air that taught a lot
About the ones that take your breath
Away and hand you naught
And so I earned a gift that's got
The most important lesson of all
Let your breath belong to you
For rest of time still standing as yours.
