BECK WOKE WITH a flinch, gasping as she moved. Something cut into her wrists, pinning them behind her back. Taking a couple of deep breaths, Beck glanced around her surroundings. She was lying in the back seat of a car as it moved lazily down the street.

"Oh good, you're awake," a deep voice called from the front seat.

"Gerard," Beck hissed as her light green eyes landed on the old man driving the car. The elderly hunter gave her a sickening smirk as he drove. "What do you want from me?" Beck grumbled as she pulled at the zip tie on her wrists.

"You see that's the thing," Gerard hummed. "What I want, you can't give me. But you can get it for me. From your brother."

STILES GLANCED AT his phone as he sulked at his desk. He couldn't believe he just said that to Lydia, and now she was gone.

Sheriff Stilinski rushed up to the bedroom before stopping in his tracks once he noticed Stiles. Stiles turned his head, seeing his dad watching him. "She left, huh?"

"Yeah," Stiles sighed, putting his phone down on his desk.

"So, is there, uh... anything there?" Sheriff Stilinski shrugged with a smirk.

"No," Stiles sighed in disappointment. "No, she's in love with someone else."

Sheriff Stilinski nodded his head as he stepped in, sitting down next to his son. "Listen... I know that getting beaten up, and with what happened to Jackson, has gotten you pretty shaken, but be happy about one thing," he paused as Stiles glanced over at him. "The game. You were amazing."

"Thanks, Dad."

"No, I mean it. Look, it was pretty much over, and then you got the ball, and you started running. You scored, and the tide just turned. And you scored again and again. You weren't just the MVP of the game. You were a hero."

Stiles shook his head as he looked down. "No, I'm not a hero Dad."

"You were last night," Sheriff Stilinski beamed as he patted Stiles's shoulder. As he stood, his face turned serious. "Listen, you okay being here alone for a while, I gotta run to the station?"

"Yeah, why?"

Sheriff Stilinski released a breath as he ran a hand over his hair. "Well, after you went missing, Rebecca got worried. Wouldn't go with those guys from Child Protective Services until she knew you were okay. But I told her that when you were found, I'd let her know." Sheriff Stilinski released another breath in frustration as Stiles sat up, watching him. "I... I just got off the phone with Child Protective Services. They never sent anyone to collect Rebecca."

Stiles's eyes bulged as he looked up at his dad. "Dad, what do you mean?"

"I think Rebecca was just kidnapped," Sheriff Stilinski sighed. "I don't know why, but I'm guessing it has something to do with Derek. I just-"
