BLAIR

AFTER about 20 minutes, Victoria, Troye and Mikey finally let all of us back inside and begin the actual gender reveal. Anxious smiles spread across all of my friends faces, anxiously awaiting to find out the gender of me and Harry's baby.

"Alright, Harry and Blair come over here!" Victoria squealed excitedly, waving Harry and I over to the kitchen island. Harry practically ran over, pulling my arm tightly behind him.

"So the way this is gonna work is you and Harry have to look all around the house and try to find different colored baby objects, which are either pink or blue. At the end, whichever color has a greater number of objects will be the gender of the baby!" Victoria clapped her hands together.

Harry and I nodded slowly, beginning to look around the room. "Don't fucking look! It's not time yet." Troye exclaimed, snapping his fingers to bring our attention back to him.

"Okay and the rest of you just stand there and watch." Victoria giggled as she waved to the other guests behind us. All of our friends and family nodded and squealed in unison, anxiously waiting to find out the gender of our baby.

In front of me, Mikey pulled out a notepad and marker, getting ready to mark down each color Harry and I found.

"Okay you guys can start now. Just keep count of the objects and whichever color has a bigger number is your gender!" Victoria announced. Harry and I exchanged a quick glance with each other, both of our cheeks rosy and palms sweating.

He squeezed my hand quickly and then ran into our bedroom, laughing as I stood behind him. Instead of following Harry, I remained in the kitchen and began to look there. I glanced over the kitchen island, then pulled open one of the drawers below it.

In the drawer laid a blue pacifier, signaling one point for the boys side. Behind me, I could see mikey with a small marker and paper, marking the number of objects that were collected.

I tossed the pacifier onto the island and continued to search for another baby item. I opened the refrigerator door, examining its insides. Located inside of a plastic container sat a pink baby bottle; my first girl item.

Behind me, I could make out the high pitched squeals of Victoria as Mikey slid the marker across his notepad.

Harry came sprinting into the kitchen, a blue stuffed teddy giraffe and a pink blanket in hand. He tossed the items onto the kitchen island, along with the ones I had amassed. He flashed me a toothy grin and waved for me to check the living room.

I laughed slightly and dashed into the living room, feeling the anxious stares of my friends and family behind me.

It felt like a television game show. It was almost as if a camera crew could pop out of absolutely nowhere at any second. I felt a rush of adrenaline and dropped to my knees, searching the living room desperately.

On the coffee table sat a glass bowl of fruit, and I figured a possible baby item could've been hidden inside. I took a few apples out of the bowl, and to my surprise, laid a pink pacifier.

"Another girl!" I called out to Harry who was still in another room.

I tossed the pacifier onto the kitchen counter and rose from my spot on the ground, making my way over to the couch. I pulled off two cushions before reaching a third, and finally locating a blue onesie.

"I found two boy items." Harry calmed out to me as he exited the bathroom, a blue rubber duck and a small blue towel in hand.

Excitement bubbled up inside of me as the possibility that my guess of the gender could be correct entered my mind.

"Harry Jr. might be a reality!" Harry called over his shoulder as he placed his two boy items onto the kitchen counter. "No way in hell!" I yelled back with a burst of laughter, pushing at my boyfriends chest slightly.

"Alright so you guys have found 7 items; 4 boy items and 3 girl ones. There should be only 4 left, so hurry up!" Mikey announced, waving his notepad around with excitement.

Harry and I exchanged a quick glance with each other and took off in seperate directions, Harry heading into the dining room. Instead, I ran into the guest bedroom, aiming for more baby items.

I climbed to the floor and peaked underneath the bed. Nothing. I rose to my feet and took off all of the pillows frantically, desperately wanting to be the one to find the item that would determine the gender of my baby.

I pulled out drawers on the nightstand, and located at the bottom of a stack of books sat a small pink beanie. I picked up the piece of fabric and sprinted out of the room towards the kitchen island.

While I sprinted down the hallway, I located a decent hiding place that I had completely forgotten about.

I opened the white wooden door to reveal one of the hall closets, one where we mainly stored clutter and junk. I began to sift through the cardboard boxes before locating a blue baby shirt that read
'Little Styles'.

I laughed to myself slightly before running into the kitchen, meeting eyes with Harry.

"I have another boy and a girl. What about you?" I asked breathlessly, leaning onto the marble countertop. "One girl. " he replied with a smirk, realizing we needed to only find the tie breaking item now.

"One more fucking item, y'all!" Troye yelled, making some of the guests behind him jump. "I'm scared." I laughed, my eyes still locked with Harry's.

"Don't be! The baby has your genes, so they're gonna be adorable." Harry smiled.

"Enough of your lovey dovey shit! I wanna know the gender!" Gemma called out from behind us. Harry let out a heart burst of laughter before patting my back slightly, and taking off back into our bedroom.

I figured he was headed for our closet, a place we had yet to check. I turned around and ran into the laundry room, my hopes somewhat low that I would find the last item before harry.

I looked through the shelving units, examining all of the products carefully to see if anything looked out of place. I opened the washing machine and bent over, inspecting every inch of the room.

Nothing.

I sifted through a laundry basket that sat on the floor, pulling piles of clothes out. With my mess strewn all over the floor, I instead decided to leave it to clean up later. I couldn't bother worrying about things other than the task at hand.

I flung open the door to the dryer, hoping I would find an item in there. Desperately, I pulled out the remaining clothes quickly, only to reveal the last baby item inside.
