BLAIR

THE bear sat in the dryer, behind piles of insignificant clothing items. It's vibrant color stared back at me, the nose and paws a slightly lighter shade than the rest of the body.

It's fur was perfectly fluffy, acting as a cloud for the baby to cuddle with. A bow was tied comfortably around it's neck in a glistening gold color, the lights from the dryer reflecting off of the glitter thread woven into the accessory.

I stared at the toy, completely speechless. Finally, I knew the gender of the sweet creature growing inside of me.

"Guys! I found it!" I called out behind me, pulling the bear out of the dryer and running into the kitchen where my friends and family remained.

I held the bear by its large stuffed arm, letting it dangle below my waist behind me. Harry ran into the kitchen, meeting me in the middle breathlessly.

"Fucking show us!" Harry exclaimed with a giant smile spread across his face. His curls draped into his eyesight, beads of sweat beginning to form on his tanned forehead.

He wiped his smooth skin with the back of his hand, leaning against the kitchen island. "Okay, ready?" I smiled, holding my bottom lip in between my teeth.

I refrained myself from just tossing the bear into the air and celebrating, mostly wanting to see Harry's reaction. Everyone in the room nodded quickly, clearly getting impatient with me.

Slowly, I lifted up the bear behind me and brought it to my chest, allowing it to comfortably sit in my arms. Victoria smiled over at me, as she already knew everything.

I hugged it tightly and let the plush brush against my cheek as I watched the reactions slowly play out across my loved ones faces. It felt as if everything was in slow motion.

Silent but joyous years began to fall down my face and onto the bears fur as I watched my friends and family process the gender of our new baby.

"Oh my god!" Gemma called out, clapping her hands over her mouth in pure excitement. She jumped into the air and silent tears began to fall out of her eyes and hit the ground.

Beside her, Anne began to tear up slightly. Although her tears were happy, I could understand exactly how she felt.

Troye, Mikey, and Victoria began to clap, letting colored confetti go flying across the room. The pop of the confetti cannons slightly startled me as I watched the gender colored paper slowly fall to the dark wooden floors.

"Oh my fucking God, Mikey!" Troye yelled, pushing at Mikey's arm. Mikey stumbles backwards slightly, taken aback. "What the hell?!" Mikey yelled back, clearly confused.

"You had one fucking job, and you couldn't even set the confetti cannon off at the right time." He scoffed as Victoria waved the both of them off, dramatically rolling her eyes.

She wiped silent tears from the corners of her brown eyes, fanning her face slightly in an attempt to subside the waterfalls cascading from her brown eyes.

Harry immediately wrapped his muscular arms around me with pure joy, practically squeezing the life out of me.

He lifted me off of the ground slightly and spun me around, also letting small tears fall from his eyes and onto my exposed shoulder.

"Thats fucking wild. I'm so happy." He whispered to me, burying his face into my neck, almost like a perfect puzzle piece.

"I cant believe it. Like, my brain can't fucking comprehended that's the gender we're having." I laughed slightly, wrapping my arms around my boyfriends back.

"She's gonna be perfect." Harry whispered against my neck. I could feel his smile forming against my skin, his tears creating small puddles on my neck.
"Shes gonna be the best." I smiled back, squeezing Harry a little tighter.

We stayed in the middle of the room, allowing ourselves to be present and enjoy the moment. I was relieved to finally know the gender of the baby i had spent so many hours thinking about.

Her first day of school, her first steps, her first school dance all seemed to cross my mind, although I never had a gender to put with it.

However, i still enjoyed having a gender neutral aspect to it all. I liked the idea of letting her be whatever she wanted to be. I loved gender neutral names.

"Why don't we give her a nickname of her own?" I offered to my friends, finally allowing myself to pull away from Harry. "That would be so cute! It would be nice to have a name that the media knows her as, instead of putting her whole life on display." Victoria agreed. She put my thoughts into exact words.

"What about Moon?" I questioned, staring at the dark sky out of the window. I've been obsessed with the sky lately. It brought me a lot of peace. The stars, the moon, the light, the vastness. It was so .. beautiful.

"I love Moon. Moon is perfect." Harry smiled, pulling my body into his and giving me a gentle one armed hug.
