Origin Story Of Jack Davilson
There was a great boar, this boar was of the same lineage of the Calydonian Boar but not of Artemis's creation. This boar had been terrorizing the African region but had traveled back to his homeland in the ancient land, the Greek Isles. Many hunters had tried and failed to put this beast down but now it was the turn of the Hunters of the ancient times. As the Hunters sprinted through the forests Artemis saw a hunter sprinting through the brushes and trees as fast as her Hunters were. At first seeing this a an affront she speed up past her Huntresses to give this mortal the chase of his life. Now unknown to Artemis this was no average mortal, he was the last of his bloodline. A bloodline that is rumored to come from as far back as the titans, and this gave this man heightened abilities, not supernatural but still more than most mortal men could achieve. As she sprinted almost soundlessly she would slow down so the man could see her and then speed up so that he would try to catch her, for she was intrigued by this mortal and wished to see his full potential. The great boar ran into a clearing and while being an ancient boar with knowledge of his opponents and decided to made his stand here where there was no place to hide and he could make short work of these hunters with his tusks. The Huntress and the Hunter reached the clearing at almost the same time for even with his heritage he could not keep up with a Goddess, especially the one of Hunting and athleticism. Artemis said, "Stay clear mere Mortal, for your weapons could not even pierce his hide, much less slay the beast.". The Hunter replied, "For if I had the blessings of a Goddess such as yourself I could harm such a beast of magnitude. For you are the craftsmanship of the Hunt and your weaponry is unmatched by only Hephaestus can forge tools like you can craft them but only you can hunt like so, I may be able to fell this beast if only your blessings of crafts fell upon my mere mortal likeness." So Artemis took her spear, the preferred weapon for hunting boar, and gave him one of her arrows. Her arrow shone like the full moon on a clear winters sky and gave a cold aura but was warm at the center as the moon gives this to all that may believe in its power. He knocked the Lunar Arrow and said, "For what is this wager that you have given to me?" He inquired and the cold reply of Artemis was a such, "If you fell the beast, I let you live.". He was not taken aback, surprisingly to the account of Artemis and replied, " Instead of such a hostile wager let it be what you would hold back, a single kiss if I fell the beast." This left Artemis dumbfounded not just because of this deal but because she accepted this deal. They made their way to the different sides of the clearing and the boar made a move. For while both were stealthy Artemis was the better of the two and the boar started to charge at the Hunter. The boar had his from to the hunter where the flesh is thickest and with a thick skull and so the hunter could not penetrate the hide. Without knowing what came over her, Artemis hefted her spear and called a battle cry attracting the boar to her presence. With its flank, the softest and most vulnerable area to the hunter he fired a perfect shot that pierced the heart of the boar and killed it instantly with the moonlit shaft. With this he fell the boar and Artemis had sworn on the river Stix to make this deal and so she delivered with more than she had originally offered making this hunter the proud father of a demigod. As they went into town with the boar Artemis stayed in the shadows and watched amazed that while being the slayer of the boar he was humble saying that he only succeed from the blessings of the Goddess of the hunt and that while he fired the shot it was only due to Artemis that he slayed this large beast. Artemis was amazed that this male was so humble but the farther she got from him the less she felt about him. This was peculiar and she went to the Oracle to see what it was that caused this. The Oracle, Elizabeth Dare, saw that in his sash there were golden hairs from Aphrodite as a heirloom and caused lust to whomever came is near it. She returned and saw all men with high respect and all women threw themselves at him, Enraged Artemis went to Hades realm and made a deal with Hades and Persephone to turn the man into a being of Hell and told her Huntresses that he had been terrorizing the countryside and had her Huntresses hunt for him, they succeeded. The sash was taken by Jack but now it is cursed to repel all mortals but now is a signal to monsters of the Hades realm and Tartarus to come and this is ripe. Artemis has been trying to end Jack but has failed, she cannot actively kill him but she curses him and killed the first Oracle before Rachel Dare because she was the only one to know about Artemis betraying her vows and birthed a child...
