THE CLASSES WENT IN a blur and soon enough the bell was rang for short break,Joy and Bisi made their way to Anna immediately,Joy sitting on Anna's desk and Bisi sitting beside a groaning Anna
"Something definitely happened"Bisi said and Joy nodded in agreement
"Who were you assigned with?"Joy asked Anna and she look up to her friends her lips turning downward before she blinks away the threatening tears
"The dark one"Anna manage to give her friends answer turning away from them slumping into her chair
"Oh my dear please don't be embarrassed,this might be for the best"Joy said hugging Anna while Bisi patted her back
"I will be having class with him from four to six,I won't be leaving the school early"Anna said sadly and they smiled trying to cheer her up
"Hey babe! Don't let this get to you why don't we go and buy ice cream"Bisi said suggestively and Anna face lit up
"Strawberry!!"Anna said dreamingly
"Vanilla!!"Bisi said with thesame humour
"Chocolate!!"Joy added hers and they all bursted out laughing,they walk hand in hand leaving the class,they walk fast to the cafeteria so that they can get their ice-cream before the bell rings for break over
The bell was rang in no time and they return to their class with their ice-cream remainder in their hands
Mrs Oji their literature teacher entered the class and every pull out their books out giving the woman their full attention
"I heard Dami will be tutoring you?"Desmond lean over whispering in Anna's ear
"Yeah"she replied carefully because she didn't want the teacher to catch her,she's one of the toughest teacher in the school
"Oh how I wish I was the one"Desmond whispered one more time
"So do I"Anna whispered back
Anna and Desmond continue whispering to eachother ignorant of everything going on around them
Joy was sitting down on her seat lost not paying attention to what the teacher is saying,her eyes were solely on Jonah who was busy listening to what the teacher was saying not paying attention to what's happening around him,Joy sighed wishing for once Jonah will just look at her but it seems the more she prayed the more it get worst
"What's bothering you?"Ayo Joy seatmate asked Joy bringing her back to reality
"Nothing"she said swallowing diverting her attention back to the teacher
"I saw you looking at Jonah,I have caught you many times"Ayo said not ready to give up
"You do?"Joy asked tilting her head to look at Ayo
"Of course I do,I know you're crushing on him,it's quite obvious in the class and I think the only person that doesn't know about it is only Jonah"Ayo said smirking while ticking her pen in her book
Joy look at her in awe,she found her eyeglasses bigger than her eyes but kept quiet,she act like a nerd but sure knows everything that goes around
"I won't deny the fact I have something for Jonah"Joy said looking at her book like it's the most interesting thing in the world
"Even if you deny it,I already know the truth"Ayo said pushing her glasses back before wrapping her hands around herself
"Oh really, and that's not the problem Jonah doesn't give a damn about me,he doesn't even look at me for once"Joy said like she was about to cry
