JONAH COULDN'T BELIEVE HIS ears when Dorcas mom called him,he didn't know what to do and different emotions hits him at once,he didn't know if he has to jump or shout or cry,he was so confused and the only thing that came into his mind is seeing her right away and apologize all over again,he rushed over to meet Anna and went to the car speeding down to the house

He dropped Anna at home and turn back going to the hospital leaving Anna confused,he entered the familiar building in haste than he ever did

"Jonathan!"the receptionist called smiling

"Miss Sandra!"Jonathan said rushing inside the ward Dorcas is in without waiting to exchange the normal pleasantries between him and the receptionist,he slowly stopped walking when he saw the door to the room Dorcas is in

He gulped suddenly feeling nervous and his hands started shaking,he didn't know how to approach Dorcas,he didn't know the reaction he is expecting from her and that got him scared,he stood at the front of the door too scared to open it when the door opened abruptly and he came face to face with Dorcas' mom who was busy smiling her smile stretching so hard

"You came"The woman said and Jonah nodded smiling nervously "come inside"

"Yeah I should"Jonah said rubbing his sweaty hands on his jeans before entering the room,he expected Dorcas' mom to follow her but the woman locked the door behind him leaving him alone with Dorcas

His legs start shaking too scared to look at Dorcas,he didn't know where to start or explain himself,he was just careless and now he regrets it,he really do

The silence was killing him and he felt like a coward because the feeling to cower away is stronger than actually seeing her

"Jonathan!"he suddenly heard an hoarse familiar voice and he swallowed gaining the courage to move closer and saw Dorcas on the bed but this time around not sleeping as usual,her eyes were wide open but looks tired,her breathe haggard and she raise her hand up which Jonah took sitting beside her

"How are you feeling?"Jonathan asked

"Better"she replied chuckling dryly "mom told me it's already SS2 second term and the term is approaching its end"

"Yeah I'm sorry"

"It's fine,I would have been so mad at you if I woke up when high school is over"Dorcas said laughing shortly and Jonah look at her in awe,that wasn't the reaction he was expecting

He expected Dorcas to lay an accusing finger on him, telling him how he stole her life and how he messed up things for her but the Dorcas here was smiling at him like an old friend

"Dorcas"he called leaning closer to him "I'm sorry about that night,that was childish of me"

"Hey! That was a year ago"Dorcas said laughing "it's fine,your punishment is just to guide me when I'm fit to resume school"

"How? How did you forgive me so easily?"Jonathan asked looking confused

"I did because I know you will purposely not do something bad at me,I saw your eyes when I was shot before I loose consciousness I heard you pleading for me to keep my eyes open and when I was in hospital I heard you sometimes, begging me to wake up and forgive you,I never had the strength to reply back or to show you I heard you but I knew you were genuine,you wouldn't hurt me purposely"Dorcas said and a tear escaped Jonathan's eyes

"Thank you so much Dorcas,you don't know what you just did,you don't know what you just saved me from,I have lived in guilt for the past year,I felt like I took away everything from you,Khemi changed school because of that and I felt guilty always"Jonathan said and Dorcas smiled holding Jonah's hand,he lean over kissing her forehead and Dorcas giggles
