Quarantine
According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, quarantine is the period of time during which a person or animal that has a disease or that might have a disease is kept away from others to prevent the disease from spreading.
Quarantine started here in the Philippines and some other parts of the world because of the coronavirus disease or often called as covid-19. This is the situation of being kept away from others to prevent a disease from spreading.
Many events are postponed, and worst, cancelled because of the pandemic. Graduation ceremonies, recognition rights, get-together with your family or friends, traveling to different places, having a fun and enjoyable birthday celebration and such.
But because of this quarantine, there are a lot of things that also happened. And a lot of realizations hit our heads.
Many people suffered. Many people lost their jobs. Many people are expecting to finally graduate and find job to help their parents but it was postponed. Many people are striving harder to fight hunger.
But there are also a lot of positive things that we can't see just because of what's happening. Remember that behind the dark clouds, there will be a rainbow that will remind us that it's not pure darkness after all.
We are still blessed because we are still alive. We are with our family and the Lord blesses us everyday. He is our provider and our healer. He provides for us in different ways. He uses instruments so that the blessings will be delivered to us.
He also answers prayers. Pray to Him, believe and He will heal you. Because the Lord always listens to our pleas and prayers. Keep that in mind.
So even in this situation, let us still not forget that we're still alive because of God’s grace. Let us be grateful for He is showering us with blessings on each passing day.
We should appreciate the things during this pandemic. Big or small blessings are still blessings so be thankful for it.
