Online Classes

Online class is a part of what we call the new normal. It is the new way of learning. But the thing is are you still learning?

Conducting online classes is a major challenge that everyone is facing right now. Be it the students, the teachers, the parents, and even some officials.

The Department of Education don't want to admit it, but I, as a Filipino citizen can see the struggle of everyone.

DepEd doesn't want to skip a school year, because they said, what will happen to the students if they don't study?

As we can see, or if we think thoroughly, a year is a big thing. Many things can happen in a span of one year. If the school year will stop, a year will be wasted. Or that's what they thought.

The priority of people today is to live. To make a living, to feed their hungry stomachs. They need to focus on working, but how can they focus when they don't have a job?

Many companies lessen their manpower because they have lower income as of now. How can they give employees their salary if there aren't enough revenues? In short, they can't give everyone work.

In online classes, you can choose online, blended, or modular. But it's hard to study without the guidance of your teacher, or even a parent.

For people that comes from high to middle class families, somehow they can be comfortable learning through online and blended learning.

They have enough resources. Have a stable internet connection (but Philippines has a very poor internet connection among other countries), gadgets, and other things needed.

As part of the middle class, I have a gadget, but doesn't have an internet connection or WiFi. I'm just using a mobile data that  is sometimes a struggle because of the poor signal. It's also costly since the meetings really consumes a lot of data. Most especially, to college students who have a longer duration of classes.

But how about the people who can't afford to send their child to schools? Yes, there are public schools with free modules but it's hard to study all by yourself.

They can't attend online mentoring by their teachers because they don't have gadgets nor internet connection or money for load. They can't also ask for help for their parents because not all the parents can understand the lesson and explain it to their children.

Not all the children have parents at home since they need to work hard for the sake of their family. Even some of the kids that's supposed to be at the comfort of their homes, studying are out there, stretching their bones for a living.

There are pleas and cries of students, but the government are blind and deaf for their situation.

So if you are attending online classes, still fighting, I am proud of you.

Learn to share your knowledge about what you learned. Now is not the time to be selfish. You are blessed to easily understand the topic, so share the blessings you received to those willing to learn and understand the lessons too.
