The Arcade

I went into the laser tag game with Jeffrey, Beth, Tom, Robin, Lucas, Kat and Isaiah, but no Alex. She was at the "kid bar". I slowly walked towards a shadow in the room. I looked at Jeffrey and pointed the way to go. He looked that way and stalked up to the person. It was Isaiah. I seen the shadow of Jeffrey and thought it was a person. "Aah ha!" He said out loud pulling the trigger on Jeffrey. "What?" He said. Jeffrey cocked his head to the side. I shot him from behind. "Really?" He said. I laughed. "It's not really fair that you have a pet dinosaur on your team." He said. "Hey! All is fair, love and dinosaurs." I said shrugging while I walked away. He laughed. I walked up to my next target. This was a game to Jeffrey, and he loved it. All he had to do is get the other persons attention, and we took them out. We were tied. I really wasn't sure who was the last one. I was guessing it was Tom since he was really fast on his feet. I looked at Jeffrey and nodded. He knew what to do. He ran off. I snuck up to the shadow. I heard a laser gun fire off and I made my move. I came out from behind, and Beth was standing right there, looking at me. "Woah, hi!" I said. She pulled up her laser gun and shot me. My vest flashed red. Beth started busting out laughing. "Well, you're dead." She said cracking up. "I demand a rematch!" I said loudly. "You're on." She said grinning. Before we started the game, we had to stand in line for our turn. I looked at Alex. Wow, she looked down. I seen a guy about my age and got an idea. I looked at Jeffrey and told him to come with me. He went up right beside me. I walked up to the guy. "Hi how's it goin', I'm Logan." I said holding my hand out. "Hi I'm Jonas," He said shaking my hand. "These are my friends, Mark, John, Lily, and my sister Nora." He said. "Nice to meet y'all." I said. "So this is my gang," I said calling my friends over. "This is Isaiah, Kat, Mary, Tom and Robin, Lucas, and Beth." I said introducing them. "Ow! What the?" He said looking down at his pant leg. Jeffrey bit his ankle and ran behind me. "Oh and not to forget, this is Jeffrey." I said petting his head. Jonas chuckled. All of them started talking to each other. "Hey Jonas could I talk to you for a quick second?" I asked. "Sure." He said walking up to me. "So, needless to say, my friend over there is really upset for some reason and I was wondering if you could talk to her, seeing since, she won't talk to us." I said. "Sure, wouldn't be a problem." He said walking over and sitting next to Alex. He said something to her, but I'm not sure what, but she laughed to it. I was amazed. I had never seen her laugh that hard since... ever! I walked over to my friends. "Who's up for another round of laser tag?" I said. "Yeah!" They all said laughing. Lucas and Mary headed for the front door for their date.

-Mary's Pov-
Me and Lucas walked outside and sat down on a bench. "Nice out tonight, huh?" Lucas asked me. "Yeah, little chilly, but I can handle the cold." I said. "So, how do you know Isaiah, Logan, and the others?" Lucas asked me. I thought for a minute. "Well, if you're saying just Isaiah and Logan, I met them at Camp Cretaceous, during lunch break, and they were my first friends there." I said. "It feels like so long ago." I said. "How did you meet them?" I asked him. "Camp, we were counselors, but Isaiah came for a day because his dad was the youth pastor for a day." He said. "Oh, cool." I said. I looked towards the woods across the road. I was almost sure I seen something, something big. "Anyway, Mary, before I forget I just wanted to tell you..." "What is that?" I said interrupting him. He looked out. "I don't see anything." He said. Just then, a car drove by, and the light caught on a invisible figure reaching its arm out to grab Lucas. "Duck!" I yelled. He ducked down just in time. The figure missed, and then came into vision, with shiny green scales. It screeched. "Run!" I yelled.

-Logan's Pov-
I was talking to James about the new video ideas, when I heard a screeching sound, and Mary screaming. "Oh no!" I said loudly. I ran to the door. Jonas and Jeffrey fallowed me. I looked around the parking lot. There was no one to be found. Then I heard glass break. I looked into the building next to the arcade. It had a massive window that had just been shattered. Then I didn't move, as if an instinct told me to. "What?" Jonas asked. I didn't move. He turned around. There was a loud growl. He instantly froze. Then I saw the Utahraptor come out from behind us. It must not have been able to see us unless we moved. It walked in front of us and sniffed the air. Then it turned its head and starred at us.
