Lies and Schemes

I woke up in a large cage, sorta like what they kept dinosaurs in. I tried to stand up. My arms were tied to the bars. I pulled harder. "That isn't happening." a man said. "Who are you?" I asked. He walked into the light. It was the General. "The name is Dave Hatkins." He said. "You tricked us you frick!" I yelled at him. He put his hands in front of himself. "Wow, such language!" He said laughing. "You kids are so dumb, it was like we didn't even do anything and you guys fell right into our trap." He said. "Our?" I asked. James Travis came out. His head was down in disappointment. Tears rolled down my cheek. "Travis? Why?" I said in tears. The General shook his head. "I'll be in the other room, I don't want to be apart of this mushy moment." He said walking away. Travis walked over. I frowned deeply. "Listen, I had to! If I didn't," He paused. I stopped frowning. "I need money..." "Doesn't everyone." I said. "My little girl is really sick, and the medicine is expensive, so I had no other choice." He said tearing up. "That's why you guys were at the island, not to find people, but to get dinosaur DNA." I said. He nodded. "I never ever wanted to do you kids harm." He said walking away. I sat down. I heard a groan. My friends were in the other cages. "Guys? Are you ok?" I asked. "Yeah. Where's Kat?" Mary asked. "Right here." She whispered. She pulled a bobby-pin out of her hair and started to pick the lock. It clicked then opened. "Yeah, still got it." She said. She cut my rope loose. We got the others loose. "Now what?" Beavers asked. I looked toward the opposite wall. There were stun guns and taser-sticks. I grabbed a stun gun. The others grabbed something. Just then, something small nailed my leg. I looked down. It was Jeffrey, with Spectre right beside him. I pet his head. I gave Jeffrey the look. He ran off. I was right behind him. I heard him bark, then a man say, "What the..." I jumped up and shot him with the taser. He went down instantly. "I'm lovin' this!" I said. We ran into the massive loading dock. "There they are!!!" The General yelled. It looked like there were legions of army men coming for us. We took them out one by one. I went to get one, but my gun was out. The guy had a taser-stick about to hit me, when an electrical bullet flew past me and hit the guy. I looked where the bullet came from. It was Lucas. I nodded at him. He nodded back. "Shoot them!" The general yelled to Travis. He aimed. We froze. He turned quickly and shot the General with a tranquilizer dart. He gasped in shock, then fell over. Travis ran down the stairs. "This way!" He yelled.
