Happy Reading!

_

The elevator doors closed, immediately trapping me inside this small space with Hyejin. I could sense that she wanted to spit words out of her mouth. The way she scanned me from head to toe with discontempt--it made feel satisfied with myself that I bug her off.

That's right, keep falling for the trap, keep hating me.

"Did you ask people for help, newbie?" She asked, then stepping her ground, attempting to slap me using her long hair. I leaned my body backwards this time, thank God.

"no." I tartly replied, tilting my head.

"Th-then...How-"

"How, what? Hmm?" I ask, leaning forward, not breaking the eye contact and the tension.

"How did I do and finish my work? How did I finish work so early? Or..." I trailed off, "How could I have avoided a little inconvenience?" I maintained my eye contact through her eyes. I made sure that she could get what I was inferring to.

She scoffed.

"A-Are you accusing me of something?" She stuttered, putting a hand on her hip, swaying them. What a pathetic attempt to act sassy and confident. I put my hands behind my back, fixing my stance.

"I didn't say anything about you, though." I raised my shoulders and sank them again, then turning to the elevator doors.

"Hah..." She uneasily said, tightening her jaw.

It was easy to read her. I'm pretty sure she'll do more sabotaging and take extra precaution. What does this woman have in store for me? I'm excited to find out. Seriously. Just how wild, daring, dark and deep her true colors are? Why the hell does she hate me so much? Unless she's jealous.

What is there to be envious of me? If she thinks I can get guys, she's wrong in so many ways. I can't flirt with guys. I end up insulting them without having the intention to. Whatever the reason of her hatred towards me, I want to find out.

The elevator doors opened, bringing an end to this satisfying moment. I turned to HyeJin, who had a foul expression on her face. I simply gave her a smile. A cocky one.

"Well, toodles." I did a little hand gesture and went off.

As I was about to leave, she harshly dug their nails on my wrist and spun me around. I hissed from the harsh grip and turned around to see the brat.

"What?"

"Were you with the CEO during lunch?" She spat out of spite.

"What-"

"Answer me, bitch." She tightened her grip around my wrist. The way she said 'bitch' lit a spark in me. Not that I was pissed but I was amused. But still. What the fuck is wrong with this woman? What did I ever do to her?

I slapped away her hand.

"What makes his business, yours?" I ask, making her scoff.

"I'm his secretary. I should know. He delayed the project meeting in the seaside for...I don't know what the hell what- But I just know it has got to do something with YOU." She pointed an accusing finger at me.

I connected the dots. Chan wore a different attire when he went to my apartment--Oh my God, he delayed a meeting just to get me the laptop. The thought of it makes me somehow feel special. Wow. He delayed an important meeting just to see me and give me the gift. But I had to deny it or this brat would spread whatever rumors with me or Chan.
