"Open up, Sunbae! It's us!" Hannah happily chimes, while holding a ribboned box.

Behind her was her two friends, Minho and Jisung, who seemed like they were forced to come. I opened the door, making Hannah widen her eyes at my appearance. Minho widens his eyes, then swiftly turns around. Jisung wasn't the same case. He gulped. He pulled the end of his sweater down to his thighs, covering his crotch area.

Oh God.

"Oh, I'll put on a sweater, sorry." I say, then hug myself.

"Sorry." Jisung bit his lower lip.

"What? It's fine! Come in, come in." I gestured them to enter. The trio shot their noses in the air, sniffing the sweet scent of the dinner I was making.

"It smells like...AH! Pork cutlets!" Hannah smiles, making Minho retort ; "No, it's clearly Chicken Katsu."

"Well, you guys are wrong." Jisung smiled smugly.

I raise an eyebrow, crossing my arms as I lean on the closed door, while they sit on the couch. "Well, what do you think am I making?" I ask.

He puts up his index finger then clears his throat.

"Food."

"Idiot, of course she is. What specific food?" Minho asks.

"Duh, anything that tastes good."

Minho slapped the back of his head.

"Ignore them. We brought you cake!" She said, then placing the box on the coffee table.

"What? Why?" I asked, as I sat beside her while the two boys practically had a cat fight in the other couch.

"To celebrate you getting a job! Duh!" She says, then untying the ribbon.

"You bought this for me?" I asked.

"I had the idea. Chan funded me with this and told me I could buy any cake I wanted to give you. So tada! I heard these strawberry cheesecakes from the famous cafe were a hit, so I bought it for you." She says, then unwrapping the parcel.

My mouth watered at the delicacy.

Strawberry cheesecakes are my ultimate weaknesses and my comfort food. I grew up loving anything that was flavoured strawberry, since mom and I used to grow them in our backyard.

"It looks delicious! Thank you, Hannah." I say, then stood up. "I'll whip you up some dinner, if you want." I say, then heading to the kitchen.

"Sure! We'll stay." She smiles.

As I kept cooking, I could hear the faint sound of the two boys still bickering while Hannah was watching TV. It honestly felt as if I was a mother of three children. It felt warm. My chest warmed up at the thought of having to prepare dinner for your children.

I shook my head.

Did I just imagine that?

I don't have the emotional capacity to have children, let alone, a boyfriend. A family is way off the chase.

As I finished the last batch of the food I made, I served them on the table. "Holy- Chicken Katsu!" Jisung almost tripped from standing up too fast.

"Yup! Oh wait, I'll go grab some rice and prepare the table." I say, making Hannah stand up.

"No! I'll do it. You can go change into a sweater, if you'd like." She offers, making me nod.

"Okay then. I'll head off-"
