"YOU... You're the most stupid person that I've ever met," biglang sabat ni Osmond saka inis na tumingin sa dalaga. "You always bring yourself to dangerous situations just because of me, at dahil d'yan ay naging mabigat na kitang responsibilidad which I find really annoying. You're careless, too, at napakaingay. I can't wait to see that day when you already stopped talking about nonsense things, and stop seeing me, but..."
Gulat na napatingin dito si Sam. The way he looks at her, he's somewhat nostalgic and yet she sensed that she's beginning to see the real person behind Osmond.
"...but, why do I feel like I don't want that to happen?"
Napalunok si Sam. Is he now confessing?
Dumaan si Osmond sa gilid ng gym sapagkat short-cut roon patungo sa kanilang college. Paliko na sana siya nang bigla siyang may narinig, eavesdropping is not in his nature yet something pushed him to walk a little to hear what's going on, he even looked towards the scene...
"Hindi ko 'yan ginusto!" mangiyak-ngiyak na sigaw ni Sam.
Kumunot ang noo ni Osmond nang makita ang nagkalat na pictures sa paanan ni Sam. He squinted his eyes to see the picture. He was surprised.
"Why do you still have these? Wala ka namang kailangang patunayan, nakita na 'yon ni Trey. We're off! Thanks to that good-for-nothing Charles!" ani Sam na galit na nakatingin kay Cheena. "Ano pang gusto mo, ha? Iyong-iyo na si Trey!"
Kumunot uli ang noo ni Osmond.
"I just wanted to make sure that Trey is mine. Don't ever hope na magkakabalikan kayo! If you'd do anything stupid, I'll show this to everybody. And the whole world will know, I bet you won't like it," nakangising saad ni Cheena na tila ba'y nanalo ng kung gaano kalaki.
Nakita niyang pinulot ni Cheena ang mga pictures. Tumingin ito kay Sam.
"If you have any plans of stealing these pictures to still prove your innocence, don't bother, marami pa 'ko nito!" ani Cheena na inilapit pa kay Sam ang mga pictures. "But if you want, go! Steal these any way you want!"
Umawang ang bibig ni Sam.
"Goodbye, Samantha Montes. Again, don't do anything stupid!" sambit ni Cheena na sinabayan pa ng malakas na pagtawa. Mabilis itong lumakad palayo sa lugar na 'yon habang ikinaway-kaway pa ang mga pictures.
Naiwang tulala si Sam. Nanghihinang napaupo siya habang nakasandal ang likod sa pader.
Sinapo nito ang noo at maya-maya ay walang babalang humagulhol ito, as if crying to her heart's content.
Osmond shrugged.
"...but, why do I feel like I don't want that to happen?" It keeps on playing through his head.
He sighed.
"Because I cared for you. Because I think..."
Sam cleared her throat and waited for what he was about to say again.
Napakamot sa ulo si Osmond.
"Because I think... I'm falling for you." He finally said.
Maang na napatingin si Sam sa lalake. Tiningnan niya ito ng mabuti. Napakunot-noo siya. Wala pa ring nabago sa pagmumukha nito simula pa kanina. It was the same handsome cold and blank face from before.
"Hey," tawag ulit ni Osmond.
Napakurap si Sam.
"What?" iritadong tanong ni Osmond.
