This hurt me way more than this is gonna hurt y'all. Chameleon Twist is a pretty cute game, so I wrote this for it.

I don't like to write happy things, just know that.

------------------------------------

The rabbit couldn't quite understand why the four chameleons were so eager to get home! He was doing them a favor, wasn't he? Their old lives were so boring, so dull and uninteresting. All they could do was rest on a stump, sleeping the day away. (And occasionally eating flies.) They weren't happy with their lives; oh, yes, the old rabbit could tell. While he was rushing by, he caught a quick glimpse of the four. Davy was crawling around on a log, Jack was trying to use his camouflage, Linda was staring at the sky, and Fred was fast asleep.

The jolly old rabbit didn't sense joy from them. He tried and tried, but no positive energy came his way. It was clear that the friends were bored out of their minds, and was tired of their repetitive lifestyles. They needed excitement! Action! Fun! Adventure!

With a small smirk, the clever bunny purposely made a racket about him being late to something, hoping that it would get them to follow him. To his excitement, they did.

Upon arriving in a new world and still a bit shocked about their new bodies, the rabbit promised to take them home once they cleared all of the stages. He was brimming with happiness; this place was nothing but fun! With their new abilities, they should have a blast! (He still kept a close eye on them in case something were to go wrong.)

It would only be an amount of time until the young chameleons ran out of stamina. After about half an hour, they all agreed to take a small break, and they then began to explore their new surroundings to relax. Fred fell asleep once again on a random lily pad. Linda stood near him, admiring her reflection in the water. "I don't look so bad!" she thought to herself.

Davy laid in the grass and watched the clouds move slowly, while Jack occupied himself by picking flowers. He had adapted to his new body almost as quickly as Linda, and he honestly liked this form better than his old one. Walking on two legs was a lot more fun than he imagined. This world wasn't so bad itself, he thought. His home didn't have many flowers, but this jungle was full of them! It was a shame that his friends weren't here to experience this; the flowers smelt wonderful, and they all had beautiful flowers. He especially loved the white ones. A single gust of wind would send its petals flying all over the place. What were they called again? He'd ask the rabbit later.

Suddenly, the young, green chameleon had a bright idea; maybe he could share the flowers with his friends! Yes, it was wonderful! They'd love to see these. A picked a sunflower for Fred, the tall, white flower for Linda, and a rose for Davy. Getting the rose was a bit of a hassle due to the prickly thorns, but he managed to dodge them. Holding the beauties in his arms, he set out to find his friends.

Fred was still asleep when he got there, so Jack gently laid the sunflower next to him. It would be a fun surprise for him when he woke up. He gave Linda the white flower, explaining to her how it worked before leaving her alone. Finally, he happily handed Davy the rose, who looked at it in awe before eagerly taking it. He smiled at him with gratitude, which Jack returned.

"What a nice friend!" Davy thought, twiddling the rose in his hands. It was really sweet of Jack, to give him such a gift. He always knew how to cheer someone up. Yep, that was Jack...

But wait! He just couldn't sit here on the ground! He should give Jack something too, shouldn't he? Yes, he decided. He wanted to give Jack a flower too as a token of their friendship. It was the least he could do. Standing up, he searched the grass for the colorful plants, wanting to give Jack something special. It could be pink or yellow, that was just too basic.

Ah-ha!

Triumphantly, he picked a purple flower, one that definitely looked unique. Jack should like this one! The blue chameleon began to run to wear Jack last headed. He saw him continuing his hobby, looking as energetic as he could be. When Jack finally saw Davy, he couldn't help but become confused.

"What is he doing here? Was there something wrong with the flower?"

With a cheerful expression, Davy held out the purple flower, one hand behind his back. He blushed. Was this for him? Oh, wasn't that sweet? Aww, Davy didn't have to do that! He simply wanted to share the flowers with his mates, and he didn't expect anything back. Taking the flower, he endorsed his friend with a hug, which Davy instantly returned. Now, a hug was something he didn't expect himself, but he wasn't going to deny it. With today's events, he really needed one. This was all because of a flower? Wow...they must be magic. If you give someone a flower, do they hug you? That must've been the reason why there weren't many of them at home. Everyone else must've been using them to get hugs themselves.

Breaking apart, Jack held the flower close to him, showing his appreciation as he smiled brightly. His heart was still warmed by his friend's action. Davy smiled back.

The flowers were the cause of this. He couldn't think of anything else. They made people so happy that hugging was the only way they could express it!

Maybe he should give Jack flowers more often...

There i freaking did it and that'll be the only time you'll see something this stupid come from me.
