My friends were now extremely excited to see Kyle participate in this swimming event. Right after the coach announced about the third set commencing, the participants, together with Kyle emerged from the entrance.

"Go Kyle!" rinig kong sigaw ni Ella.

All of the participants went to their respective platforms and readied themselves. Kyle is wearing nothing but a swim jammer, goggles, and a snug-fitting swimming cap. Swim jammers actually look like cycling shorts and swimmers wear them in water to gain speed advantages because it makes their moves more sleeker and faster when they swim.

Nasa lane 4 si Kyle and I saw him adjust his goggles and swimming cap first before jumping down towards the water upon hearing the first whistle. I saw the other participants did that as well. This swimming style is somewhat different from the other swimming styles.

"Take your marks," sabi ni coach John. Nakita ko na parang may hinawakan sila na parang bakal sa platform nila and positioned themselves with their feet on the wall they're facing.

After a few moments, a second whistle was heard from Coach John and the participants pushed themselves forward and started to swim.

"In all fairness ha, malinis tignan 'tong laban ngayon." sabi ni Hazel. Kung tutuusin lang, ang ganda nilang tignan because they move in a synchronized way.

I looked at what he's pointing at and saw the different colored lane line. Ang lane line is 'yung naghihiwalay sa isang swimmer from other swimmers.

Ang kulay ng lahat ng lane line is color blue but pagdating sa lane 4 and lane 5, color yellow ang color ng lane line nila.

They are nearing the end of the pool and there were also guys at the end of that side na para bang ang role nila is to see if the swimmers are following regulations, I think.

The swimmers were in their backs, swimming by means of rotating their hands alternately and when they approached the end of the pool, they did a flip turn.

During breaststroke, I saw some swimmers na hinawakan muna 'yung end ng pool nang sabay using both of their hands before making a turn while 'yung freestyle naman tsaka backstroke ay diretso nang umikot without touching the pool.

The backstroke swimming is now at its second length and ngayon, nangunguna na si Kyle followed by the guy in lane 5.
