Chapter 16: Something Out of the Ordinary

Good Morning!

The first thing I laid my eyes on upon awakening, aside from the ceiling, was Lorenzo's text message.

I didn't bother to reply and just started my daily routine. I fixed my bed and went to the bathroom to do my morning shenanigans. As I was brushing my teeth, I couldn't help but wonder how Lorenzo knew where my house is. I forgot to ask him that when we were together because I already realized it too late.

I wiped the mirror on my bathroom wall, just above the sink. I washed my face and after I was done, I went downstairs for breakfast. I don't know why but I'm feeling a bit extra today and I wanted to put extra effort in being happy and just letting in all the positive vibes.

"Good Morning Ma," I said as I hugged my mother in the back. A smell of fresh flowers with a hint of rose and vanilla greeted me. 

"Good Morning!" my mom cheerfully replied and swayed from left to right making me delve more into her perfume. It's a smell I won't ever get tired of.

Pumunta na ako sa counter to get some warm water. Every single day, I drink honey-lemon water before eating breakfast. In a cup, I just put two tablespoons of honey and a pinch of lime. Since, madalang lang naman kami magka-lemon dito sa bahay, calamansi nalang ang ginagamit ko because it still has the same benefits.

Since honey may lose its natural healing properties in boiling water, dapat talaga ay warm water lang. Drinking this early in the morning could be an effective anti-cellulite treatment as it helps to increase the body's metabolism. It also fights of coughs and colds, soothes allergies, boosts the immune system, and makes skin become clean and clear.

"Clauds, andito pala si Austin." sabi ni mama sa akin nang makaupo na siya sa harap ko.

"Ha? Anong ginagawa niya dito ng gan'to kaaga?" tanong ko naman kay mama as I drank my honey-lemon water. A noise from the powder room caught my attention at nang mapatingin ako ay nakita ko ang naka-uniform na si Austin.

"Hellooo," mahabang sabi ni Austin na para bang kumakanta na nang-aasar at umupo sa tabi ko. Narinig kong natawa naman si mama sa ginawa ni Austin. "Dito raw siya makiki-almusal." sabi niya at uminom na rin sa tasa ng kape na nasa kanan niya.

I eyed him as he already started eating and I saw his charcoal black earphones dangling from his shoulders. It's still early and itong isang 'to ay naka-uniform na, all ready to go. "Hirap mo talaga maging kapitbahay. Kulang nalang, maging akyat-bahay ka but with permission." sabi ko sa kanya at kinurot siya sa balikat.

Hinawi niya lang ang kamay ko at dire-diretso pa ring kumain. I just ate the bowl of cereals in front of me and when I was done, I proceeded to take a bath para naman hindi na 'to maghintay pa ng matagal.

"Where's Matt?" tanong ko pagkalabas ko sa banyo habang pinupunasan ang basa kong buhok. I saw Austin on my bed listening to some music with only one earphone on his ear.

"Sa bahay niya." sagot ni Austin habang nakatingin sa akin. His brows were on the normal side but it somehow made his face a bit inquisitive. I don't know why but his face shone a youthful glow that I usually see in dramas. This guy must've came prepared.

"Eh may bahay ka rin 'diba? Ba't ka nandito?" tanong ko naman sa kanya, throwing my burgundy-colored towel at him after.

"Bahay ko rin 'to 'diba?" sagot niya sabay tapon sa akin pabalik nung twalya ko. Natawa nalang ako as a thought came to mind, "Bahay ng isa, bahay ng lahat." bulong ko. Halata namang hindi narinig ni Austin 'yung sinabi ko with how his brows met in between.
