You thought the left door was the one you should go through, and you entered it. The room had a musky cologne, black curtains over the windows. The room was shrouded in darkness, only two lamps on the bedside tables were on. The large bed had posts that just stopped a few inches below the ceiling- leaving room for black fabrics draping down.
The mattress had an all-black comforter on it- with a soft fluffy fur blanket spreading across it at the foot of the bed. There were black couches against the wall - two of them to be exact. There then was two dressers on each end. The couches had two blankets on them- all in black, and fuzzy. The end table between the couches had a framed photo of a man- Dark.
Just then, you knew it wasn't your room- you didn't know what to do... But you were curious. What was Dark like? You're sure his room really says it all, so you wouldn't mind... maybe snooping? No, snooping isn't the word for it... discovering. Thankfully, he wasn't in the room with you- so you were basically in the all-clear.
You walked around- feeling the black carpet on your feet- it was very soft, in inch or two of faux wool. It matched the whole aesthetic. There were a few mirrors, one round full body mirror- with black flower designs embroidered on the edges. There was a note on it- 'You look beautiful as always'.
You gazed at yourself in the mirror- mesmerized with the colors. The room was absolutely beautiful - even if Dark was the 'bad guy' or 'emo' in your friend group- he does have style. You paid more attention to the framed picture of Dark, that stood upon the end table. Next to it was a black rose- wilted and dying. You wonder who it's from.
You hesitated but picked up the rose carefully -smelling it. It smelled different, as it had a more intense aroma than the average rose- or flower in general. You set it down carefully- moving on from the end table to the dressers. The tops of one dresser was a little more cluttered than the rest of the room.
There were stacks of papers- with signatures and fancy writing on it. It was Darks' writing. He had been writing small novels, not publishing them. Maybe it was his hobby. You read through a few pages- but soon to realize that it wasn't just short novels, it also had a few notebooks mixed in. "Awee, it's a diary" You coo at it.
You hesitated opening it- instead you took it and set it by an end table next to the bathroom- saving it for later use. You go back to the dresser, opening the top to see what was inside. It was normal, formally folded black t-shirts, not his average suits. They were stored in a walk-in closet next to the doorway where the bathroom was.
You looked under the T-Shirts and saw a small bottle of lotion. You didn't expect him to moisturize - as he is a demon, but then it hit you. Why does he hide it in his dresser underthings? You drop it in disgust- wiping your hands off onto your towel aggressively. "Ew ew ew ew ew ew," You said repeatedly.
Next to that was a small wooden box, with dark brown accents. There was another rose painted on top, with bright blue skies and clouds behind it. You switch up the latch, noticing a few small items; jewelry. You held up black pearl earrings in awe. They were stunning- and slightly worn. You wonder by who?
Then, there was a necklace. You held it up - seeing that it shimmered in the glistening moonlight. It was a metal heart- with a crystal clear heart. The door that led into the bedroom opened, causing you to jump- quickly setting the necklace in the box and closing it. As you closed the dresser, you felt a cold breath behind your neck.
"Didn't your mother tell you not to go through someone's room? Their personal belongings, hm?" The man rested his hands on your shoulders. You flinched, hearing his calm tone. It was Dark. "Sorry- I-" You think about a good excuse for going through his dresser. Was it curiosity? Was it desire? Was it boredom? You didn't know which reason would let you off the easiest.
"So, no good explanation?" He tilted his head to the other side of your neck. "We're you just curious, like a lost puppy finding a home? Or were you looking for something more specific..." He finishes his sentence, with a long sigh. You couldn't tell if he awaited a response- but the room fell silent, cold.
"I- I'm sorry Dark." You avoided turning around, as you didn't want to be trapped in his gaze. It is hypnotizing, and cal tells you so much about him, and his emotions. The emotions that he often kept hidden. Dark smirked, turning you around. He wanted to see you- the possible fear that could be on your face.
You stared down at his formal shoes- black vinyl looking. "Even though this isn't over, I just wanna say..." Dark breathes out, trying to prepare himself for what he may say. "I'm sorry, for passing quite a few boundaries. I'm still learning this... human culture that you have. Us demons can be much more invasive. It's our nature." He huffs quickly. "B-but-- that doesn't mean I'm making an excuse. I'm still in the wrong.
"However, you seem to also pass some of my boundaries- going through my room and all." He grins slyly, looking down at you. "So, what are you going to do to make up for that?" He yawns quietly. You begin to back up, eventually hitting a wall. Dark follows you, resting his forearm against the wall, right above your head. There was silence.
"I just want something very very small. Nothing you cannot do for me." He begins. "I want one single kiss." You look up at him finally. "Just one?" You ask, making sure that was part of the deal. "Yes- quick and easy. You'll most likely forget about it because it's that forgettable." He reasons. You finally agree, by nodding. He grins. "Excellent."
He waited, wanting you to make the first move, and finally- you did. Once your soft lips touch his cold ones- he rested his free hand on the side of your neck. His kiss was enticing, welcoming, and pretty genuine. You forgot that it was supposed to be only a second or two, but stayed there- for maybe 10 seconds. Once you remembered- you let go, catching your breath.
Dark was smiling, caressing your shoulder a little- then letting go. You move under his arm, leaving to go to the bathroom door. No words had to be said. Dark turned around- crossing his arms and leaning back on the bare wall. He smiled a big toothy grin. He thought to himself- now that's something to brag about.
You quickly left the room, forgetting about the diary. You wanted to pretend that didn't happen -that you didn't enjoy it, but you did. Hopefully, it would be no more than a dream by tomorrow night. You realized there was a middle door that was behind you - and walked right through it, jumping on your bed and soon drifting into sleep.
