Hazel POV

"We shall sort them and re-sort Mr Longbottom, Mr Snape, Mr Lovegood, Ms Lovegood and Ms Valdez." Dumb Old Door said.

I snuggled into Frank, nervous and angry. Frank turned his attention to me.

"What's wrong?" He asked, concern laced into his voice.

"It's just, I was called a witch in my first life and now I have to be one! And I'm scared that they won't accept me for being black." I confided.

He sighed sadly and gathered me in his arms, kissing my hairline.

"No one is going to judge you. And if they do, the Infirmary will be wondering how a snake got into the school."

I laughed and Leo and Piper, who were sitting next to us, chuckled slightly.

Stern Lady took out a stool and an old hat.

Sorting Hat's POV

I hope they ask my name. No one does. I steel myself as McGonagall calls the first name.

"Percy Jackson!"

A boy with black hair and sea green eyes comes up.

"Ahhh, Son of Poseidon?'

Hey! What's your name?

I started. "Uhh, Smyth or Smythy?"

"Cool!" He says out loud. "GUYS! THE HAT'S NAME IS SMYTH WITH A Y AND HIS NICKNAME IS SMYTHY!"

A chorus of 'Hey Smythy' went through the demigods.

"Anyway, let's see, loyal, no doubt, good Hufflepuff material, not smart enough for Ravenclaw, but definitely clever, quite cunning when needed and very brave! He is all of the houses!"

A murmur of confusion swept through the hall.

"Annabeth Chase!"

"A Daughter of Athena? Hmmm, Ambitious and prideful, definitely Slytherin material, but so wise and strategic good for Ravenclaw, loyal and very brave! She is all of the houses!"

"Hazel Levesque!"

"A Daughter of Pluto? Every child of Hades or Pluto has gone to Slytherin but you, your kind and loyal, you would make a good Hufflepuff, cunning, but strategic, would fit well in Ravenclaw and very brave! She is all of the houses!"

"Frank Zhang!"

"A Son of Mars? you are so gentle and caring, good for Hufflepuff, clever, resourceful and very brave! He is all of the houses!"

"Leo Valdez!"

"A Son of Hephaestus? Let's see, so resourceful, kind and loyal, good for Hufflepuff, clever and strategic and very brave! He is all of the houses!"

"Calypso!"

"A Titaness? You are a hard one, gentle and caring, good for Hufflepuff, clever, resourceful and daring! She is all of the houses!"

"Piper Mclean!"

"A Daughter of Aphrodite? Let's see, smart and daring, but cunning and ambitious as well as being very brave and comforting! She is all of the houses!"
