I've decided the best way to find her key is figure out where my other keys began. If they were ever broken and where they were after they were remade. We're blindly searching for it and there's only so much ground we can thouroughly search. My magic energy is depleted for now so there isn't much research to be had. Because of the fight with that bounty hunter, we still have a half day trek before we make it to Lamia Scale.

Natsu builds a fire and I set out our sleeping bags. After two nights of sleeping with him, I'm kind of nervous on how we should sleep tonight after he disregarded my earlier attempt at kissing him.

I don't want to push him, but I don't want to back track our progress either. I wish Levy or Erza was here so they could tell me what to do.

"Hey Lucy! Look what I caught!" He's gleaming in the moonlight with a wide grin. He holds up a torched turkey by the feet. It's a nice change from all the fish lately.

"What did your dad owe that freak show back there? Do you know?" He asked in between bites.

"I don't know. I don't know what my dad could have promised them but I have a feeling they're not giving up," I say staring into the fire.

Natsu's expression turns somber, "well they ain't layin a finger on you that's for sure."

"That's so sweet..." I peek at him. He just grunts, "hmpfh" in response.

He's sitting so close to me, I can feel the heat radiating off of his skin as the temperature drops.

After we eat he eyes the two separate sleeping bags surreptitiously but doesn't say anything to me as he glides in one of them.

"Won't you be cold tonight Luce?" He asks.

"I'll be fine Natsu," I tell him as I slide in mine.

We lay still in our respective spaces staring at the stars. I can tell he's not sleeping because his breathing is still the same.

My toes are as cold as ice but I refuse to be clingy. Just because we opened up about our feelings doesn't mean that things have to really change. He's still the same old Natsu and I'm still the same old me. Only difference is we are both mutually in agreement about our bond.

"Geez Lucy I can't sleep with all that chatterin!" He yells at me.

"Well sorry! Not all of us have fire in our bellies!" I snap back at him.

"Tch," he grumbles as he slides in next to me.

"Natsu!" I yell at him.

"Just shut it Lucy!" He says pulling me snugly against him.

He's so warm.

"Holy cow you're colder than Ice Princess," he whines.

I don't respond, I just let him warm me up.

He breathes in the scent of my hair and nuzzles my neck. I can feel his small smile against my shoulder.

The feeling I have when he does this is euphoric. I feel safer than ever when he's here.

"I like sleeping with you Natsu," I whisper.

I can feel his devious chuckle tickle the back of my neck.

"That's not what I meant!"

He relaxes against me, "I sleep better with you too Lucy."

This is it. One of his moments. Where he's relaxed and sweet.

I roll over in the sleeping bag so we're face to face. He gazes down at me lazily as I place my hand on his cheek. This time he actually leans down to kiss me. It's a soft and sweet kiss. Our legs become entangled as I place soft tiny kisses up the length of his neck.

"Mhm," he lets the sound escape as I trail more kisses along his jaw.

He tips my jaw up and crushes his lips against mine.

Yesterday we were timid and nervous, tonight I'm excited and eager to explore.

My hands start trailing uncharted territory. His stomach, the muscles in his arms that tighten when he pulls me closer. His hair is as soft as his lips.

In turn he explores me too. Grazing the tops of my thighs, and the under them. His palm glides along my rear and then up my back leaving a trail of goosebumps in their wake.

My brain shuts down and I've completely succumbed to him.

Even in uncharted territory such as this, he still maintains his air of confidence as his hands hold my face.

No matter what he's doing, he's somehow still confident. Whether it's picking a fight with Gildarts, or leaving passion marks on my neck. He's never fumbling like I am.

I take my exploration up a degree when I hook my finger in the waistband of his trousers.

His fangs bite down harder on my bottom lip when I do this and he takes his scouting up a notch.

He pulls his vest over his head and tosses it on the ground next to us. His hands rest on the zipper on my back and he pulls away long enough to glance at my face for a non verbal cue. I nod as he frees me of my blouse and he's fallen against me.

He's kissing me with more urgency now and his hands are pulling my hips against his.

I wrap my arms around his neck as he trails kisses down my chest and stomach until he gets to my skirt.

Without looking at his steady gaze I nod and arch my back as he pulls my skirt off of me.

His breathing becomes uneven as he looks me over.

I pull on his scarf until his face is against mine again.

Once he's positioned directly on top of me, I toss the last scrap of fabric on him to the side of us, his scarf.

In our tossing and turning, the sleeping bag has unzipped it self half way letting in a cool breeze to cut through the stuffiness.

He pins my wrists above my head, and nuzzles his face in the crook of my neck.

I stare at the beautiful stars as he strategically collides with me.

I can't help but grimace at first, it's unlike any sensation I've ever felt. He's surprisingly docile, slow and gentle. As if he's scared he could break me.

The tenacity is overwhelming, I can feel his heart pound against my skin.

At first I tried to stifle my moans but by the end, I couldn't help it anymore.

Every fiber in my being belonged to him.

After we were finished he pulled me to face him, he buried his face in my chest and we didn't speak until our breathing slowed down.

I closed my eyes and absentmindedly ran my fingers through his hair while listening to the fire crackle beside us.

Breaking the silence I spoke timidly, "I. I ne- never have do-"

"Me neither," he muttered in a low voice.

"Promise me something Lucy," he said looking up at me.

I looked down at his face as he continued, "Promise it's always going to be you and me. Forever?"

Just as I am all his, maybe he's all mine too.

"I promise, it's just me and you. For forever. Oh and Happy too. We're a family remember?"

He grins a toothy grin at me and we fall asleep to the sound of each other's breathing a few minutes later.
