Fairy Tail: An Aqaurius Quest

We soak up the morning living life in our dirty little secret.

"C'mon Lucy, ya can't stay in the bed forever!" He tugs on the blanket but I tug back harder.

"Natsuuuuu. But it's so comfy. Come back. I bet I can make it worth your while," I'm flirting. Intentionally flirting. It's new, but I like it. It's nice to have someone to flirt with.

"Tch," he grins devilishly, but ultimately steps back and crosses his arms over his chest.

"Ugh, fine," I drag myself out of bed. I make my way over to kiss him but he turns his cheek at the last second so I miss his lips.

His expression is so smug. He plops down on the couch while get ready.

"Yeesh Lucy! You're taking forever," he whines.

"Don't be rude!" I yell at him.

He opens the door and holds out his hand. I grab it but something is missing.

I have my keys. I put on pants.

"Your scarf!" I grab it off the bed and hand it to him.

He eyes it and halfway through looping it around his neck he stops. He throws it over my neck and pulls my face to his, giving me a sweet kiss.

"You ready?" He asks, still entrapping me with the scarf.

"Ready as I'll ever be," I tell him.

He loops the scarf the rest of the way around my neck and pulls me out the building.

His scarf smells like him. I can't help the butterflies warring in my stomach as I replay the moment in my brain. We step up to the doors of the guild I begin to unravel it but he stops me.

"I'm not cold Natsu, don't you want it-"

He drapes an arm over my shoulder smiling, "No Luce, how else are they going to know you're my girl?" 

We walk in the raucous building and everyone's eyes land on us. The whole guild has turned silent for once. Everybody's eyes look from Natsu, to me, to the scarf and back to us as a whole. I can practically hear their jaws hit the floor.

"Hey what's up everybody!" Natsu gleams, and the noise turns back up as everyone gets back to what they were doing.

"I don't believe it, flamebrain actually did it," Gray says snidely.

"You want a piece of this Ice Princess?"

"You better watch your mouth!"

"Why don't you watch my fist in your face!" Natsu screams back.

Before I know it, they're brawling in the middle of the floor. The fighting only lasts a second before Erza steps in.

"Boys," she scolds. She gives me a sweet smile.

"Lucy, I'm glad you're okay," she says.

"Yeah. I'm fine. I," I can't help but be flustered. I'm wearing his scarf. I don't even know how to bring up the subject and Natsu is still blowing a tiny stream of fire at Gray behind Erza's back.

Gray gets back up on his feet and speaks before I have a chance to fumble with my words any longer, "I didn't think he had it in him. Seeing as how he dropped the ball last time," he prods at him.

"It was me who said it. Actually. I told him I loved him and then. Well. He," I'm fumbling but Natsu is back up on his feet, and his arm is pulling me against him.

"Jokes on you Gray, I proposed. Who dropped what ball now?" He snickers.

Everybody's expression lights up.

"Now that is something I can drink to!" Cana hollers.

Everybody is whooping and clapping as the words sink in. Natsu and I are getting married.

"I will make you the sweetest strawberry wedding cake," Erza insists, "and I won't take no for an answer," her voice ever so stern.

Levy wrapped her arms around me as best as she could with her swollen belly in the way, "congratulations Lucy! I'm so happy for you both!"

Mira chimes in, "I'll help you find the perfect dress, a few of my model friends from Sorcerer Weekly know some people!"

"I'll be the flower girl!" Wendy suggests and Natsu puts his hand affectionately on her head. He's the sweetest big brother to her, even if they aren't blood.

"Only if I'm the ring bearer Natsu!" Romeo rings out directly after.

Before I know it, the entire guild has planned the wedding and they are fighting on the colors.

"Blue. Blue, white and black," I say quelling the intense arguments.

"Before I became guild master I got ordained," Master Makarov hints, waggling his eyebrows.

"Do you think the Queen would want to come?" Evergreen asks.

"If she were a real man after the Eclipse battle, she would," Elfman answers.

"I can get the flowers," Lisanna pipes in, "you still like Snapdragon flowers right Natsu?"

"AND I'LL SUPPLY THE BOOZE!" Cana calls out to no one in particular.

"And I'll sing, just for you Salamander," Gajeel stifles a chuckle, "Gee hee."

"See Luce? I told you we had nothing to worry about," Natsu wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me against his hips.

"Lucy," Juvia says softly in a serious voice, devoid of any excitement her hand clenched, "I found something."
