Chapter 13- Mind games.

Mel would groan, now awake in a weaker like state, his body ached as his stomach was weakly, yet heavily stitched up. He was laying down on a medial bed- an IV in his arm, whilst a heart beat sensor on a computer shows Mels heart rate, Kat was sitting down on a chair, taking notes.

"How are you feeling?" Kat spoke, looking over at Mel.

"...could be better. Just glad we got out of there after all. I'm so damn happy to get back to Florida."

"I bet you are." Kat lightly smiled. "I'm just happy you're alive! Also!... I uh.. heard about Lyla.. I'm so sorry Mel.."

"...it's fine. Alright?"

"I just feel bad is all..you didn't deserve that."

"It's her lost..yenno?"

"I agree with that." Kat would stand up, walking to the bed. Her left hand taking Mels hand.

"You're a strong dude Yenno that?" Kat would smile.

"I take a little pride in that." Mel would let off a small yet cocky grin.

"Still as cocky as ever.."

"Some things just don't change.." Mel would smile softly.

"I was doing some testing with your blood, Mel. You're uh.. you're.. not as normal as you think."

"What do you mean gorgeous?"

"...you think I'm gorgeous?" Kat would blush a bit. "Anyways!!" Kat would swipe her hand away, she would walk over to her own personal laptop on the side table. Grabbing it and opening it, she began to type some notes. "During the red fight.. an emotional like.. spark kicked in, something you've never felt before right?.."

"Yeah.. it was like something took over."

"I can tell...I dunno what it is, all I know is from my testing is there's something more to you, something you need to explore on your own.. however that may be."

"I suppose so.." Mel would grunt, slowly sitting up and taking the IV out of his arm.

"What are you doing?!" Kat would close her laptop, putting it down and walking to Mel.

"I gotta go gorgeous, I can't stay here. I know for a fact that building I destroyed was one of many...I'm gonna crush each and everyone of these fucks."

"But Mel you're not even fully healed yet.."

"It's fine.. alright?" Mel would stand up, a bit sore as he would cough a bit.

Something in Mel, started to kick in. Almost like a mental wall where pain was being blocked off, Mels eyes would flicker a dark blue before changing back to their regular brown. "I feel...fine?" Mel would look at Kat. Kat who saw Mels eyes go blue, would be slightly confused. "I don't...understand?"

"Neither do I."

"Well...when are we gonna see you again?.. you know we all miss you Mel."

Mel would softly smile, walking up to Kat, Kat would have Mel, an emotional spark within her as she leaned forward, softly pecking Mels lips. Mel would begin wrapping his left arm around her waist, pulling her in softly as he pressed his lips against her' a Kat taken away for a minute. However, she slowly gave in, draping her arms around Mels neck deepening the kiss. After a few seconds Mel would slowly pull away. "Whenever my brother needs me..and I mean...whenever he fucking needs me." Mel would smile, telling Kat his number.

"..be safe, for me and jio alright?" Kat would lightly smile, her face full on red as she spoke.

"Always." Mel would walk out of the room, entering the HQ main center seeing his suit in a glass container, Mel opening the container, grabbing his suit and smiling. Slowly putting on his suit as he looked at his helmet. Kat would walk out, walking over to Mel. "Hey!"

Mel would turn around, Kat standing on her tippy toes and kissing Mel softly once more, a soft peck as she smiled. "Visit me, please?" Mel would smile, slipping on his helmet as he spoke. "Anything." Mel would walk to the armory, grabbing his utility belt slipping it on, he grabbed a glock 14, slipping it in his pocket. Another Ax-50 and his brothers M4A1 "he won't miss this right?" Mel laughed, taking some of the ammunition and leaving the HQ. entering the town of maple once more.
