Mel would be at his locker, the final bell ringing for the day as he leaned against his locker. He was surfing through his phone, surfing through Instagram as a normal teenager should. Surfing through the web, Snapchat, etc. Suddenly, Mel would look up and see Skylar. Skylar would smile looking at Mel as Mel smiled back, once more the twos eyes flicked a vibrant pink and a beautiful bright golden.
"Hey sky." Mel said smiling.
"Hey Mel, where are we going? I gotta tell my dad I'm going out."
"I was thinking maybe McDonald's? Just sit down get some food and talk. On me of course."
"I'd enjoy that." Sky would smile looking at Mel, brushing her hair back softly as the two began to walk out the building. Walking towards Mels Jeep, Mel opening the door for sky as sky got in the passenger seat. Mel ambling to the left and getting in the drivers seat. He started his car and smiled. "So, tell me about yourself!" Mel began to pull out of the lot as he began to drive.
"Well, I'm Skylar." She giggled. "I love painting, physics, mechanics, I love reading comics and gaming. I also to write." Skylar looked at Mel. "Yourself?"
"Well, I enlisted into the United States marine core delayed entrance program, I'm kinda slacking I haven't been going to any functions but I'm not shipping out for a while. And personally I'm in more than perfect condition to go so I'm not sweating it." Mel would chuckle. "I love to write, play video games, workout, and yenno.. try my best to be a normal teen." Mel continues to drive. "How'd you end up here?"
"Well, my family always bounced around a lot. Since my dad was a active marine we were always being bounced around. We stayed 2 years in japan once! We got to travel the world so I don't really mind it. My dad wanted a safe area to live in and live life so we settle for Cape Coral Florida."
"Really? I live in Cape Coral!" Mel smiled brightly. He eventually pulled into the McDonald's. Parking his Jeep as he got out the Jeep, walking over and opening the door for Skylar, sky smiled getting out the Jeep and walking with Mel inside the McDonald's.
"Whatcha want?" Mel looked at sky.
"I just want some fries and a sprite."
"Alright cool, find us a table yeah?"
"Sure!" Sky would walk away. Mel walking up to the counter and requesting the fries and sprite, along with his own fries and McNuggets and a water. Mel would hand his debit card. Paying the cashier as he ambled away. Sitting down in front of sky, sky smiling as she looked at Mel. "Hey."
"Hey." Mel would smile looking at her. "So, any siblings?"
"No actually, only child." Sky leaned back folding her arms yet smiling. "You?"
"Well, I have a baby brother Ethan. I haven't seen or had any contact with him in a while. I have two sisters, another brother eian. And now a new sibling on the way."
The food would come, the waiter leaving the food as he walked away. Mel took one of his fries and ate his own. "Second oldest too."
Sky arched her brow, sipping from her sprite as she giggled. "Wow so impressive."
"You could say that." Mel would give off a cheeky smug smile. "I'm the best though, like honestly I'm the strongest, fastest and smartest trust me." Mel would fold his arms.
"It shows. So when you gonna tell me about old titanium." Sky would lean forward, tapping on Mels right arm despite being covered by his long sleeved white T.
"How did you know that?"
"Oh come on, you think I'm not gonna notice a difference." Sky would giggle. "You probably got a cool story behind that."
Mel would smile, then frown softly getting the memories flooding back to him about the battles hes faced. He remembered reaching out for his brothers aid while dark tore off his arm.
"Oh I'm sorry.." Sky would look away awkwardly.
"No it's fine, it's just not the right time to share that story. Yenno?" Mel would lightly smile. Eating more of his fries.
"I suppose so.." sky would softly smile. "You know I read people right? Trait my father taught me."
"That's a pretty good trait." Mel would smile softly. "Do you have any friends?"
"I have a sister, she isn't really my sister but she's my best friend. Her name is Emily darkness, but we haven't had contact since.. god I lost track of her a year ago. I miss her yenno?"
Mels smug face slowly turned into a blank stare as she spoke. "Emily?"
"Mhm!"
"I uh..think you're in luck then."
